Twelve Nepalese hostages have been beheaded by their captors in Iraq.
The hostages were kidnapped by the Islamist Army of Ansar al-Sunna, which has shown a video of the slaughter.
The footage, which apprears on the army's website, show militants apparently slitting the throats of their hostages.
A statement on the website said: "We have carried out the sentence of God against 12 Nepalese who came from their country to fight the Muslims and to serve the Jews and the Christians ... believing in Buddha as their God."
More follows...
arent ghurkas what afghani women use to wear?
how fierce could that be? :)
I think we should turn the tables on them when they have hostages they're about to behead. Tell them release the hostage immediately or one of their "holy" buildings gets leveled. If they behead the hostage the building should go. A human life is more valuable than their satanic worship places.
I agree.
It would also "encourage" the general populus to "rat" out the abductors so they could be dealt with accordingly.
A strong response will command their respect.
She's nice to look at. I wonder what ever happened to Jennifer Eccleston on FOX. She was nice to look at, also.

Dr Harith al-Dhari, Secretary General of the Association of Muslim Scholars (AMS), the leading Sunni Islam religious authority in Iraq, strongly condemned the execution.
"Speaking from [a] religious and humane point of view, I was the first among those calling on the kidnappers to release the hostages," he told Aljazeera.
"We are against killing hostages, particularly if it has been a group execution. Those 12 Nepalese hostages are simple people. They might have been deceived to serve the occupation forces," he said.
"I wish they had not been treated so cruelly like that."
He also called on fair treatment irrespective of religion and creed. "Through Aljazeera, I call on all groups who 'claim' they are resistance and Islamic groups to be more merciful, just (fair) and humane while dealing with captives despite their religion, trends and reasons behind their presence in Iraq," he said.
Ignored by the media?
Deads are numbers. But deads, whose pictures are shown, are individuals. They let us feel their pain by our imagination. No matter whether one watches these horrible scenes or not, the terrorists wanted to let us know their terrible crimes, to deter others from going to Iraq.
Let them demonstrate the uses of the khukuri.
NBC? Did she defect, or am I just stupid?
Well, time to send in the Gurkha Brigade to dispatch a few (many) more muslim murderers to 'splain their violence against Buddhists to Allah..
They should allow the Gurkha soldiers full use of their Kukri knives...
Yes, at NBC now, sorry.
Jennifer worked at CNN before joining Fox. Now she works and reports for NBC/MSNBC.
No.
The Nepalese are dealing with Muslims and Maoists at the same time. They are sweet people caught in the middle of two evil empires,,it is just sad. Sort of like the African Sudanese caught between the Islamists and the old Soviets, being used by both sides. I don't know,,sometimes you long for the old USSR to keep the Muslims in check. I think the Muslims are worse.
This is a picture of the website page of 'The Army of Ansar al Sunnah', the militant group that claimed to have kidnapped Nepalese workers in Iraq, which purportedly shows the bodies of Nepalese workers after their execution in Iraq, Tuesday Aug. 31, 2004. If true, the slayings would mark the largest number of foreign hostages killed at one time by insurgents in Iraq who have seized more than 100 hostages in recent months in their drive to destabilize the country and force coalition troops and foreign workers to withdraw.
