New York Sun poll that O'Reilly quoted last night says only 33% of the protesters think capitalism is good. The other ones I remember say: 80% of protesters are from NYC, 52% think America is a force of good in the world. If somebody has the whole poll, it is quite telling. These people are the wacked-out losers of America, and they think they are the next leaders? Try the next generation of welfare and social services crutch on the rest of us.

I was watching someone on the news (I don't know who it was) last night who accused the MSM of "mainstreaming". He said they were going out and finding grandmothers, vets, etc, to interview, while the people who were mostly there were obnoxious and obscene.
He said the MSM was covering it almost as a lighthearted, family type event when it was really angry, dangerous, and laced with obscenities. The video seems to really bear that out.

I had seen alot worse too from the Washington march I went to with my brother and friends--where 6-7 "Adults" threw HOT HOT HOT COFFE at a group of us and our signs!! I am talking HOT!! because we had signs that said " Never Forget!!" and " Have you Forgotten??"!!
I CAN'T WAIT! til I at least LOOK a little "Older", being a "teen" myself now.

In effect, the Ruckus training of some of the protestors in New York City this week has at least in part been funded via Kerry’s own family and facilitated by Kerry campaign operative Zack Exley.

Thanks for posting this. My 8yo son and I just had a great conversation on exactly what free speech means. We watched it together with the sound turned down. He also thinks it's pretty dumb to be protesting for "peace" but then use violence and vulgar language to try and achieve it. Yes, my 8 yo figured that out on his own. So much for wisdom coming with age, huh?

Sadly, I think that you are correct. Far from the intent of Mrs. Rand and her philosophy, the incompetent have seized on the myth of 'strike' to justify their indolence. Rand used the idea of the strike to demonstrate the folly of the tool of the incompetent, to show what really happens to civilization when the competent and the creators that normally buttress the existence of fools, withdraw their support.
I have spoken with Anarchists and fringe Leftists who refuse to 'cooperate' in the 'unjust' contemporary manifestation of Western Civilization. Of course, that is their prerogative. They claim to withdraw something that we need, thinking that their brute force, and voluntary ignorance is of unique value. Isolating their existence from our lives would be a favor. But, that is not, of course, what they do. They do not simply refuse to participate, the become sucking leaches withdrawing the economic essence of the life of freedom while delivering the viral infection of their destructive nihilistic pestilence to others.
There is a movement in France dedicated to this very idea. Reading Atlas Shrugged, one might actually be forced to conclude that the 50 year old American Classic was not prognosticative; much to Ayn Rand's chagrin, it was a guide book to the crucification of Men... by vermin.
