Tuesday, August 31, 2004, I saw what looked like the entire Swift Boat Veterans For Truth Ad, on CNN.
New ad, "Medals", is at http://www.swiftvets.com.
I'll take the Swifties over Springsteen any day.
It must have been paid for. CNN won't show it in its entirety, otherwise. I hope they show the VietCong memorial to Kerry in Hanoi.
I dunno... I'm sitting here in Western Massachusetts, and I just saw the Swifties Ad on CNN. (about 90 mins ago)
Contribute to these guys! Its the most bang for your political buck! No one else could educate the public on Kerry like these guys can. They are very brave for taking Kerry on. Their character has and will be continued to be attacked. We must support them!
I've seen it in full on both Fox and MSNBC a few times this morning and I'm in Indiana.
They apoplectic over there. Completely DelUded...
Is that Kerry actually throwing his medals, it's such a quick clip I can't tell if it's Kerry or not?
I saw Number Two this morning during Fox & Friends and then again on CNN -- both around 7:30 EDT.
This appears to be a scurrilous anti-Kerry commercial. Such nastiness makes one think twice about whether the government should allow "free speech" in parts of the country where people are too stupid to know that socialism guided by hyper-smart people like Jean Frenchie Kerry and Hillary Clintoon is good for the little people.
Excellent! Everyone should donate to this organization so this ad can stay on the air.
And I thought "Gunner" was the worst of them
#1 - Sellout
#2 - Any Questions
#3 - Gunner
#4 - Medals
Kerry hasn't had a real press conference since the Swiftee ads started running. Is he going to hide until November? That's not going to help his numbers. :^)
I live in Maine and I saw the ad on Fox and Friends this morning. It appears that we may be seeing the nationalization of the swifties ads. As a well known (and well worn) presidential candidate said...yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhh, (or something like that).
Saw the ad on F & F this AM- At first I thought it was part of a story. Any truth to the rumor that another 527 has financed them to the tune of millions?
Bravo Zulu to the Swifties!
Skwrlgirl, welcome to FR!
Hey! What's with Kerry's British accent?
Are you $hitting me? That cannot be true.
Sometimes timing and the right tool is more effective then brute force.
This ad is timed and played in Tennessee today because tomorrow Kerry is addressing the National American Legion Convention.
This message is partly to cause demonstrations in the convention and thereby create negative news against Kerry and provide Nationwide coverage of him throwing his medals away.
Well they do have a few more $$$$s to work with these days.
This does not supprise me whatsoever, after all it is the Clintoon News Netwits.
Right after I saw the ad I sent them another $25.00
That's not a British accent. That's a Charles Emerson Winchester III accent.
The ad also ran on FNC this morning at least two times.
The Swiftvets made an $800,000 national ad buy. I'm seeing them on cnn and Fox news here in South Texas. They're running in every state on cable networks.
I hadn't seen the picture of Kerry with LaVey before, but the silhouette of Kerry's head in front of the satanist/witchcraft circled star symbol is quite striking.
Did you notice that the back of his head seems to go up into a point? No wonder he's Hair-Club-for-Men's best customer. His fluffy coif now disguises point.
That's not a British accent. Back then Kerry was trying out a Kennedy accent.
Amazing if this is true!
I was listening to a talk radio show on the way to work. They were commenting that the Swift Boat Vets would have an "October surprise." That is they planned to put out a powerful ad then - contents are a secret.
Anyone hear this?
I've been flipping back and forth between Fox and CNN all morning and have seen the number 2 ad several times on both stations!
Are you $hitting me?
Yeah. Mea culpa.
I guess nobody else saw the humor in it.
Anyway, here's a link to the website which explains how it all began with a photo of John Kerry shaking hands with a clown: http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_kerry_meets_lavey.htm
I haven't hear of it but the Swifties seem to know what they are doing and they are executing perfectly.
If there is any fire in the smoke that seems to emanate from Kerry's MIA/POW committee, an ad on his supposed cover-up of the possibility of living POW's in Vietnam as late as the mid '90s, it could kill Kerry. It would drive a stake through his heart.
I agree! I'm directing my (unfortunately) meager contributions to them for the time being.
It's definitely the most effective thing we can do right now!
shouldn't that be "stoopid?"
God has indeed blessed you.
You saw an ad that's rolled locally by the cable company. In other markets, viewers saw different ads.
Example: You know when you're watching something on cable and the ad for (Insert name of your local high-profile plaintiff's law firm) comes on? It came from your cable provider. It's called a rotator, and can show up on several cable channels...CNN, FNC, ESPN, among others.
An ad for an attorney in Toledo obviously won't be shown in Topeka.
Although you saw it while watching CNN, it really wasn't 'on' CNN.
same was seen (on CNN, Tuesday AM) in California, too :)
With a touch of French thrown in to add a touch more "European sophistication". Ptooey.
Ok. You say I'm not seeing what I thought I was seeing. (just joking) You say, its a rotator Ad, provided by my cable company. I have satellite. Probably has the rotator Ads, too. But even when I saw the Ad tuesday morn., I considered it may be a slot thing or something. What threw me, was that we'd all heard that the Swifties were running the Ads in only 3 or 4 states. I am in Florida. Thereby, as skerry would put it, I thought Florida would be next or later on the list, money providing, of course. Yeah, time to donate to the Swifties.
One of the talking heads on one of the 3 stations I was flipping between, this am, --no, it was later in the afternoon, said to a question posed to him by another head, "no, that's a stand-in, for him....."
I dont care if it was kerry or not, he did throw his medals at the whitehouse, I have, seen a photo of that.
The TV ads are necessarily short, and they are nothing more than appetizers for the book. There's no escape from the book, and as the paleomedia is forced to investigate this story, Jean Fraude will be sunk.
