At least $200,000 of the $2.8 million the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth says it has raised came from a prominent Texas home builder, Bob Perry, who is also a contributor to Republican campaigns, including Bush's.

At least 7% of the $2.8 million came from a prominent Republican. Wow.

The few contrary reports of folks were there can be explained by the "Fog of War", but the numbers of "were there" folks who report contrary to Kerry's story are much larger than those who remember it his way.

It's also no accident that the MSM and Kerry campaign, but I repeat myself, are still focused on the "what happened in Vietnam" ads, while the Swifties have moved on to the even larger issue of "what happened when Kerry came back from Vietnam". That really is the heart of the issue. Many folks have medals they didn't really earn, or medals that at least should have been lessor ones based on the actual events, but very few came back and smeared their fellows, while the battles were still going on. That is what cannot be forgiven.
