BREAKING NEWS: 2 Dozen Bush Supporters Were Inside Huntington Building

A shot was fired at the Republican Party headquarters in Huntington Thursday night, while two dozen supporters of George W. Bush watched him accept his party's nomination on television.

Huntington police said reports came in about 10:30 p.m. from the building on 4th Avenue at 14th Street. One bullet hole could be seen in a large glass window, through a sign that said marriage is between "One Man, One Woman."

Police said they had not found bullet fragments inside the headquarters and had no way of knowing what type of weapon was used.

Eyewitnesses told 13 News they heard a loud bang but weren't sure what had happened. One woman said she found pieces of glass on her neck and shoulders.

Lets see here. Everything I know of that time period comes directly from someone who was THERE or right next door. My grandparents are dutch (were dutch actually, they came to the us with their children after WWII and became naturalized citizens).

My grandparents WATCHED as the socialists in Germany lifted that monster hitler to power. Believe it or not he considered hitler to be the lesser monster, the real monsters were the socialists who enabled the phycopath.

After the occupation of the Netherlands my grandmother was forced to work in the homes of party members and my grandfather was placed in a prison camp. I do NOT believe the those of the Jewish faith have a monopoly on outrage at the crimes of the socialists and their hired monsters.

You cheapen the memory of all who fought and died to end that atrocity by insisting that we shouldn't point out that there is another "nazi" party on the rise in the US.

It's too bad that you feel that way, but you are entitled to your opinion. Whether or not my comments offend you is not my concern. My grandparents were Jews who escaped from a communist country, so I'd be the last to belittle their suffering in ANY time period.

I've witnessed the gathering culture of violence that is fostered by the left. Praise for the Palestinian movement, while the ultra left condemns the security fence built by Israel. The UN and World Court are trying to force them to tear it down. Movements of hatred begin with a few drops, such as those from a leaky faucet....but soon gain momentum like a powerful and destructive Tsunami. So these bullet holes at a Republican HQ indicate a warning of coming attractions. Perhaps not today, nor tomorrow....but one day soon.

What you have to understand about Huntington is they kill people like its free down there. In the last month or so I've lost count of how many murders that have taken place on the streets there.

Most of it is Crack related. Heck, this week, the son of a college professor was taken hostage by a dope dealer he owed money to. The thug made the guy drive around town at gunpoint for a couple of hours while he negotiated a ransom with the sap's mother.

After the cops substituted fake money for the ransom, the incident ended in gunfire, and the poor sap/victim was almost killed.

U.S. Marshals captured a guy in Detroit recently on charges he killed a hooker in a Huntington apt that apparently did something that displeased him.

Part of that town is like Mogadishu after dark.

Those that flunk History, get to take it again. It is SCARY just how parallel the rise of Socialism in the United States is with the methods used by Hitler.

Instead of Brown Shirts, we got Anarchists, but they are cannon fodder just like the brown shirts and will be slaughtered in the end just the same.

Other than that the Hitler Creed is identical, except that Hitler was more State Centered than the DhimmiCrats admit too. The Dhimmi's are reaching for more State power than Hitler dared to try for, but are admitting it less.

It is important to pay close attention to those willing to committ political violence, but comparing them to the Nazis (as the DIMS are quick to do themselves) shows either ignorance of the past or a tendency to hyperbole which is a sign of irresponsibility.

Before you launch off on hyperbole yourself, check it out. The political platform of the loony left is the exact same platform of Hitlers loony left. It is not hyperbole if it is true, it is a warning that we are dealing not with funny loonies here, but very very dangerious ones.

I think so. This post is 3 days later than thread begun. In that time, the Milwaulkie Bush HQ have been invaded by a "mob" of protesters of some sort. And I have been told by a campaign worker that the Anchorage, AK HQ has been defaced with obscene spray paint, and a shot has been fired into the Fairbanks, AK HQ. I was told it had been on TV, but can find no mention of either. Search shows nothing. Will try newspaper searches next.

upon the Governors of all 50 states to station
National Guard troops to protect all political party
headquarters in each state's major metropolitan areas.
For headquarters in smaller areas, and headquarters
which are more limited facilities, we call upon the
governors to station highway patrol, state police, or
state troopers. We call upon the Mayor of the District
of Columbia to coordinate with the applicable
protective agencies as well. All parties on the
ballot should receive the appropriate protection based
on the size of the metro area they are in and the size
of the facility. If warranted, similar measures should
be put in place to protect the polling places on
Election Day.

Orders to guardsmen and law enforcement officers to
shoot-to-kill upon any mob attack should be issued.

Failure to take such actions should be considered
gross incompetence.

In order to address the possibility that the recent
attacks on headquarters of political parties are a
diversion in advance of acts of terrorism or war, we
also call upon the governors to activate their state
militias and if need be to deputize selected citizens
as special reserve state law enforcement officers.
Where state militias and deputation statutes do not
yet exist, we call upon the affected governors to
sponsor such legislation as is needed in order to
instate the applicable mechanisms.
