BREAKING NEWS: 2 Dozen Bush Supporters Were Inside Huntington Building
A shot was fired at the Republican Party headquarters in Huntington Thursday night, while two dozen supporters of George W. Bush watched him accept his party's nomination on television.
Huntington police said reports came in about 10:30 p.m. from the building on 4th Avenue at 14th Street. One bullet hole could be seen in a large glass window, through a sign that said marriage is between "One Man, One Woman."
Police said they had not found bullet fragments inside the headquarters and had no way of knowing what type of weapon was used.
Eyewitnesses told 13 News they heard a loud bang but weren't sure what had happened. One woman said she found pieces of glass on her neck and shoulders.
Tune in to 13 News Friday morning for more on this story.
Some of us here do not look like this!
Has Byrd revived his old Klan group?
two words for this: domestic terrorism!
Fire a shot into a building and not mean to harm or frighten anyone?
Reminds me of a radio contest to determine the biggest redneck. One question was, what's the biggest thing you've ever shot. The eventual winner said "a building". "Was anyone in it?????!" "Uh .... I dunno."
You know, I couldn't help wondering that myself. If these "people" (and I use the term loosely) are behaving this way now, when President Bush gets re-elected will his life and/or the lives of others associated with him become a "quest" shall we say?
I think you predicted this a while ago...
Maybe Deputy Dawg could have tried digging the slug out of the wall and having a ballistics analysis run on it....like most police officers with a brain would do.
"The dims seem to have all the characteristics don't they?"
Pro Gun Control.
Pro Animal Rights.
These Democrats are getting out of hand
Don't you mean the Democrat wing of al Qaeda? Or is that being redundant?
Of course not!
But those who would shoot at an occupied campaign HQ, targeting a pro-family sign, DO.
These liberals are just becoming completely unhinged. There were a couple of instances tonight when the President's speech was interrupted by hecklers. Whatever the security is around Bush, I hope they double it. There are just too many violent crazies out there, and they're going to get much, much worse before November.
You can thank people like Susan Esterich calling this the nastiest convention ever saying they are going to take off the gloves finally..I swear they are all crazy. They think we are all like their moronic supporters. Someone hurry, buy them a clue!
I get them confused a lot. I'm sorry.
we'll probably see more of this. The left has lost their minds. They'll go over the cliff when we stomp them in Nov.
Seriously though, why on earth would lib's want to start a shooting match with 2nd amendment conservatives?
for every idiot 35 yr. old "college student" radical with a .22 and poor marksmanship, there are a dozen conservative gun-ownin' types like my redneck uncle. He'd probably just stick to black powder or his bow just to keep it entertaining....hehe.
Do the dems really want to start a shooting match?
I think they'll just increase destruction of private property, burning, smashing, painting, and then running...seems more their style, being cowards at heart.
Oneof my best friends lives on 14th St!!
I have some of my closest friends working for the WV GOP, mainly out of the Charleston office.
I'll find out more about what happened in the morning.
"You might want to trade up."
Would this do it?
