I wouldn't have posted this as a separate topic until I heard on the radio on the way home from the rally that the AP had reported the crowd booed when it was annnounced that the former president had been hospitalized. That is a bold faced lie. I understand it was later retracted, but that's like unringing a bell. I do not think it was in error, either, since the writer further stated that 'Bush did nothing to stop them.' Shameful.
The rally was amazing. I don't know how many were in attendance, but the crowd could not have been more enthusiastic. I could be wrong (but I don't think so) but I don't think there's any question Bush will win in Wisconsin. I have worked for campaigns before, and been to rally's before, but I have never witnessed the fervor I did today.
I have pictures in one-hour processing right now (I am resisting the purchase of a digital camera) and when I get them back, I'll try to post them. If anyone can tell me how to do it, please FReepmail me.
does your internet provider give you free web space with your account? That's probably the easiest way to post the pictures.
P.s. - get a digital camera - but wait until the thanksgiving sales for bargains.
If you don't mind, I'll post what you have to say over at iwon where some libs have fallen for the ap line hook, line, and sinker. , even though I pointed out that I have seen what the president said and did not hear any booing.
Drudge is now reporting the AP story WITH the section about booing. You have it exactly right..the AP told a total lie but now we have to spend forever removing the lie to get to the truth. I'm more than a little disappointed in Drudge.
I wonder if druge actually saw the clip.
Good reporting. I saw it on TV and no one booed. The audience respectfully clapped in support of Bush's concerned remarks on Clinton's health.
The media are spitballs.
oops, drudge
Please consider asking the mod to retitle the thread to include something like "AP LIED".
You have my consent. This is a media dirty trick.
I didn't hear any boos when I saw the comments on telivision.
Same here.......

If you want to post pictures, go to http://www.photobucket.com and open an account there... it's free... would love to see pictures!
CAN YOU SAY DOUBLE DIGIT LEAD, http://www.time.com/time/press_releases/article/0,8599,692562,00.html, The press haste W and they will say anything. Thanks for letting people know you were there. I may have cheared, not booed.
People mentioned that Hannity has disputed the original AP lie on his radio program this afternoon.
liberal media trying to make news instead of reporting news
There may have been no boos at the Bush rally, but last night there was a lot of booze at the Kerry rally.
Michael Medved has some idiot writer whos claiming that the podium Bush spoke from last night was a "gigantic cross".
If there was a cross I didn't see it. Besides it couldn't have been more than 4 feet tall. hardly gigantic if it even existed.
"This is a media dirty trick."
Get ready for lots, lots more.
Let Drudge know. He's got this claim up in red linked on his site.
I would like to urge you to get a digital camera. They are absolutely wonderful tools.
Where did you hear it was retracted?
I did notice that ABC radio news, a couple of hours ago, said the "crowd applauded respectfully."
The AP prints directly from the DNC fax line. Truth has nothing to do with their reporting.
Links in this post lead to news sites that not only still carry the false AP story. Those sites added the "boo" angle to the headline.

Thanks for the first-hand news!
This is why the old media is losing the election information battle - we can counter their lies literally in realtime.
Exactly. Everyone needs to bombard Drudge right now. The AP LIED. That would be a bigger story for Drudge anyway.
Bombard his stire with the corrected AP story

I was there too - NO BOOS and a LOT of energetic cheering for Our President and First Lady.
I was in the center top of the very back bleachers. The President was about as big as a matchstick from my seat, but it was still cool.
AND NO BOOS!
The AP can't figure out which version of this story it wants to stand behind. They have put out at least three different versions in the last 2 hours.
Unbelievable.
I am seeing more and more anecdotal evidence (like this one) that Drudge has thrown his lot, like Snopes and Moveon, in with the DNC.
Thanks for the addition to title, mods. I guess that's why we have you guys to help us amateurs out!
I agree; the mainstream media are vile--but I'm not sure that there's a reaction that couldn't be spun. If people applauded, then "Those nasty Republicans applauded--they're glad that Clinton has heart problems!" We've already seen the response to the (false) claim that they booed. If they were silent, then the media would say they were "displaying the callous indifference that Republicans display in their domestic and economic policies."
BTTT!
I believe you, but so what if there was some booing? Or is that not allowed under the new Campaign Finance Laws? The MSM is resorting to this. Low...

I can't believe the MSM is still pulling this kind of crap. We have the New Media correcting them within 5 minutes. How stupid are these people. They still can not believe their power is slipping away.
I had to bust E.J. Dionne's chops today for lying about Zell Miller's speech today. In his column he claimed that their are no Democratic leaders claiming that U.S. forces are occupiers not liberators. I slapped ole EJ down and sent him a link to one of Senator Byrd's recent speeches where he makes the claim twice. I ended the letter by tellimg him not to lie anymore.
I believe you, but so what if there was some booing?
it makes conservative look uncaring and that we want bubba dead
I emailed him. I hope he runs with it. There is plenty of proof it didn't happen, but that means nothing to the dims and their media whores.
So was I, and I agree - nobody booed.
Substitute an "H" for the "P" and you'll be 100% correct.
My son and I were directly opposite you. We were on the main floor, straight in front of the podium, about 40 feet out. My son is very tall and was able to photograph over the people in front of us.
What's the third version?

Notice how they put the booing line back in but spruced it up some.
It's the cost of the consumables that concerns me. I'm cheap.
I flyfish and sometimes the weather, the fish, the boat or just me can get water on a camera.
Is there a waterproof digital camera yet?
Thanks!
President Bush is the first politician I can remember who has referred to "the SIN of slavery" in his speech last night.
Today's atrocities in Russia where blood-thirsty, satanic terrorists gunned down fleeing five-year-old children in the back should clarify what Americans and the Judeo-Christian heritage we live under are up against.
