To Russia With Love

All I'd like to do is bask in the warm RNC afterglow, but what has occurred in Russia is too much, too sickening and heartbreaking.

Great idea.

I think there's a consulate in San Francisco or Los Angeles, too.

Those poor kids and their families have been in my prayers ever since this crime against humanity started.

Though a second generation American, my prayers and solidarity go out to all the people of Mother Russia, all the parents watching and hearing what those animals are doing. I know, as a parent, that each and every one of them cannot help but think "What if that were MY child? What if that were THEIR school"

In fact, I stand with my fellow Americans, watching and listening to the updates, whom I KNOW are thinking the exact same thing.

The terrorists crossed the same line in Russia they did here in the United States on 9/11/01. It's bad enough they mess with US...now they're deliberately targeting our kids.

The fact that those kids were NAKED has been driving me to distraction all day...that's...I can't handle what they did to those children. And probably the parents and teachers with them. "Atrocity" may not be a strong enough word when the rest of the story comes out.

What has occurred in Beslan is HORRIFIC and frighteningly inhuman. It must be mourned, and then redeemed. Putin's got to drop the gloves.

What infuriates me even more is those Americans – be they left, right, libertarian – that have been suggesting that the war on terror is a fiction. Oh really? So Putin has this all staged then? Bush, Putin, the Indian Parliament, have all gotten together to mastermind a phony war on terror? [My God – I just wrote the next thesis for a book by Moore or Chomsky]

The MSM and demoncraps would call these people "Freedom Fighters". I on the other hand call them monsters (much worse things actually, but I'm on a public site).

What kind of people would do this to innocent children?!

My heart and prayers go out to ALL of the family members who lost loved ones and also to the Russian police.

I don't think any one of us can see what's going on and not be affected. Hopefully, it's exhaustion that's keeping us from giving a solid show of support. I know the former Soviet Union and government of Russia don't have the best track record in dealing with emergencies like this, but in this case, I can't blame the actions of the government or military. They were forced into action by the terrorists.

Unfortunately, I HAVE been hearing a distressing number of talking heads and retired diplomats all but coming straight out and directly blaming Russia'a policies in Chechnya for this horror.

Let me say this: nobody but the criminals involved are EVER to blame for torturing and murdering innocent children. HUMAN BEINGS are intelligent enough to know that those children have HARMED NOBODY. HUMAN BEINGS are nurturing to children and DO NO HARM TO THEM, EVER.

I cannot imagine how the families feel. Something must be done to make such an operation never, ever seem "worth it" again.

There is no redemption for such an atrocity against the human race. We can only cleanse ourselves of these animals after the fact. As noted in the Neuremburg trials, death is the only retribution we can give them for killing millions, but we can kill each only once.

The animals that did this STILL deserve to be cleansed from the planet.

People carry a stretcher with a victim from a seized school in Beslan, North Ossetia, Friday, Sept. 3, 2004. Commandos stormed a school Friday in southern Russia where hundreds of hostages had been held for three days, sending hostage-takers and their captives fleeing in a scene of chaos amid explosions and gunfire. More than 100 children were wounded in the assault, some running from the building naked and covered in blood. Victim's condition is not known. (AP Photo/Ivan Sekretarev)

These terrorists are not human. They sold their humanity to Satan the moment they made the decision to harm innocents. I believe this of all terrorists.

No homocide bomber of shooter of pregnant women is a "freedom fighter", "activist" or "insurgent". Once they make their decision, they're Cholera. The only solution is to hunt them down and kill them.

What do we do about these insects in the media who want to focus on Russia’s Chechnyen policies? I think the only mistake Russia has made is they are still fighting this like a conventional Cold War. Artillery bombardments are unlikely to get too many of these guys. Like the Israeli’s they need to resort to assassinations. Also communicate to the people of this region that there will be NO talks ever about independence until the terrorists are handed over.

"What do we do about these insects in the media who want to focus on Russia’s Chechnyen policies?"

Well...I can only speak for me. I write to the media. I look on Google's headlines to find related stories and their summaries. I then open the articles that are biased toward the animals, read the entire article, then look for the contact name of the author and/or letters to the editor link and reply, civily but FIRMLY, with the truth.

As for the talking heads on TV, just go to their websites after you hear such incredibly evil speech attempting to justify atrocities like this, and write to them. The American cable networks, like FOX, CNN and MSNBC all have easy to use "comments back" sections. Most of the alphabets do too. The BBC sometimes does too. Good luck.

Someone on another thread mentioned the possibility of setting up a fund right here at Free Republic. Although we have trouble enough raising the bucks to keep the FR doors open, there may be some folks who would be moved to help these poor people.

I am sure there will be a lot of places to donate, but I am always suspicious as to how much $$ actually gets to the needy ones. We could certainly find the most "bang for our buck" and I would trust Jim to make the call.

Also, I know we run on volunteer labor.

But, if we can get one started, I'm in for $100.

what the talking heads are not telling us;
that chechnyan islamist cowardice drives them to use their own children for human shields, and then as photo ops for propaganda purposes... same motus operandi the world around; hamas, hezbollah, the brotherhood, al queaida and talibunnies alike.

If you use your children as human shields, YOU are the ones who murder your children CHECHNYAN ISLAMIST SCUM! Not your federal government.

Wait till Dearborn Michigan tries this "indpendent territory" crap on the state of Michigan... and invades schools grand rapids to murder unarmed children in defense of their "holy struggle" for allah.

America's hatred of islam grows daily with each new atrocity committed in the name of Allah's greater glory.

President Putin, our prayers are with you and your people in this dark dark hour. God give you the wisdom on how best to respond and protect your nation and people from the terrorist hordes.

Yeah, me too. Only difference is, I didn't quit. Thanks for the ping, Anna. And for the consulate fax number. I have faxed a message, containing some of this post, and other personal condolences. I’m ashamed to say that I hadn’t thought of doing that until your suggestion.

It’s hard to contemplate anything more barbaric than what took place in Russia this week. The barbarians (and dare I add, once again, Islamic barbarians) consistently devise the most insidious forms of violence, and use them as a tool to bring to their knees whomever they have designated as their latest prey.

To require a young mother to choose between her two children (as you said, Anna, eerily reminiscent of Sophie’s choice at Auschwitz) is the most sadistic form I cruelty I can imagine. I believe I would have remained inside the school with both of my children, rather than leave with only one. But who can fault Zalina Dzandarova for making the decision she did? Surely not I, nor any mother who becomes horrified at even the vicarious thought of being faced with such a choice.

As you pointed out, Anna, the fact that this is a pocket of Russian Christianity is no coincidence. We are indeed in a holy war, whether we choose to acknowledge that fact or not. Christians and Jews, in particular, had better soon come to grips with the realization that there is an historically unprecedented malevolent movement afoot, with tens of millions of adherents (and growing), whose only aim is to eradicate any vestige of our faith, and to replace it with a ‘religion’ which demands loyalty to its god alone, and which vows death to those who refuse allegiance.

We all need to take a good look at this face:

This is the face of our child, a few days or weeks or months down the road, just as much as it is the face of a young Russian boy today – if we do not contain global Islamic terrorism now.

In order to do so, there will be a steep price.

Innocents will be unintentionally killed as we root the villains from their hiding places. We will have to mourn that fact, but not allow it to deter us from continuing the hunt.

We will continue to pay a dear price with deaths of our own people – the young, willing and able-bodied among us who are charged with identifying and eradicating the enemy.

Accusations and shrill criticisms from weaker ranks (both abroad, and here at home) will deafening. We will have to turn a deaf ear.

We will have to relegate our love of affluence and comfort to a dark corner for the time being. There are more important, eternal, survival concerns on our plate. It's no longer the economy. It's survival.

Sub-human animals who recruit children as suicide bombers, use children as human shields, train children (from the cradle) to hate, use children’s toys and backpacks to conceal bombs, and seek out children in places in which they believe they are safe and secure, for the purpose of tormenting them, and even killing them, so as to arouse a reaction (and eventual surrender) from their parents and their culture, will continue to practice, proselytize, and export evil until good men accept as their focus the need to (1) acknowledge the reason that good people are being targeted, and (2) do whatever is necessary to stop the unending holocaust – turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to the bleeding-heart whiners of the world (one of whom is seeking to lead the free world).

Sensitivity has no place in a war on terrorism. Nor does self-flagellation (in the form of asking ourselves what we might have done to deserve the attacks, or in interminably investigating every area in which we might have fallen short in our efforts to defend ourselves and others).

Anyone who claims that we must practice sensitivity in our dealings with terrorists, or that we must not act without first garnering a world consensus, or that we must receive our marching orders from any global entity, is an enemy of life, liberty, and sovereignty.

God bless the poor children who survived this holocaust. Their lives will be scarred for a very long time. But they do not need counselors. They need strong parents, and caring family, friends, and neighbors, who will daily remind them that they are loved, and that the cretins who forced them to endure the last few days are not representative of humankind. They need to be assured that the world will be seeking out those people and removing them from society. And they need to experience assurance in God’s comfort, strength … and His promise that evil will not prevail forever.

God bless the children, and adults, who did not survive. They have become unwitting martyrs, as are all innocents who continue to die at the hands of madmen whose so-called 'god' requires human-upon-human barbarism.

Every parents nightmare.

They would love to do this to us....we cannot forget that.

Any group that would target children as a military objective to make a political point does not merit survival. They must be destroyed in total.

Beautiful words (thank you)... and so true. These (incredibly dangerous) loonies have got to go.

I must say that, to paraphrase Thomas Jefferson, I derive a certain peace when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever.

What are you doing up so late? :)

'Luck' is not a consideration. But your prayers will be much appreciated. Thank you, Steve.

AnnaZ, I've posted your request on the TX Locale Board. And I'll email and snail mail as well.

IT'S TIME TO SHOW A LITTLE SOLIDARITY WITH THE OTHER COUNTRY THAT'S TAKING HITS FROM THE ISLAMOFASCIST FANATICS!

What has occurred in Beslan is HORRIFIC and frighteningly inhuman. It must be mourned, and then redeemed. Putin's got to drop the gloves.

These terrorists are relentless. One of them even, disguised as a doctor, tried to blow up a hospital later.

Somehow because they deliberately targeted Children, this seems to make me more angry than I was at 911. But maybe I just don't want to remember how deeply 911 effected me.

From MissAmericanPie on another thread:

"The politicians of the USofA need to realize that it is critical to impress upon all Middle East nations how closely their survival is tied to their elimination of radical clerics."

We need to do this too right here. OUR survival depends on this also. There are hundreds of known Islamic Terrorists cells in this country.

If the majority of Muslims that claim to not be associated with this terror do not out the Mosques that are stockpiles of weapons and safe havens for these Islamofacistterrorists the USA needs to inspect everyone of them.

If they can do a "no knock" warrant on you or me why not on the rotten core of Islam?

Anna, thanks for this sad but important post. It needs to be bumped often.

And now that more information is coming out my anger at these sadists is getting stronger.

You may not want to look at this one
