Saudi is everyone's enemy. I'm more concerned with the mullah's nuclear inclinations. I'd like to see the Russian's (and the French) get out of the business of helping them.
Wahhabis were originally from Arabia (before there was ever a "Saudi" in charge.) Al-Wahab was an ex-Sufi Arabian who started a religious "reformation" in the late 18th century. His followers gradually achieved prominence in the Arabian peninsula largely because they were puritanical fanatics who were more than willing to kill everyone who opposed them & knock down their buildings as well. (The Arab wahhabis have been responsible for demolishing Turk, Sufi, and other Islamic buildings wherever they find them, starting with Arabia.)
Wahhabism has spread like a cancer all over the Arab world, and to non-Arabic Muslim countries as well. Arab wahhabis come highly financed with Arab oil money. They set up Islamic "schools" in countries like Pakistan, Bosnia, Indonesia (all Muslim, but *non*-Arab.) These schools are largely wahhabist indoctrination centers and terrorist recruitment stations. Because of this bribery and recruitment, there are many non-Arab wahhabis in the world now, although the pipeline of money and support flows directly from Saudi Arabia.
They also bring with them wahhabi customs, like the head-to-toe heavy veiling of women, even to people for whom that's not been a traditional custom. (Afghan women before the Taliban wore light sheer scarves over their head.)
