Of terrorist and terrorist supporters, enough is enough.
September 03, 2004 | Ursus arctos horribilis

I am tired of the kid glove treatment given terrorists and their "SUPPORTERS". After the two bus bombings of Israelis, Palestinians ran through the streets en mass, dancing, passing out sweets and celebrating. These so called, "CIVILIANS" are not passive innocents, they actively abet, give succor, aid and comfort to the terrorists. These latest bombings were just one more in a long list of indiscriminate terrorist attacks in Israel resulting in lives of innocents being lost.

Now we have the Russians suffering triple attacks resulting in horrific losses inflicted by Islamist murdering terrorists. These animals have just deliberately targeted little children with no other purpose but to torture and slaughter them.

I have reached the conclusion the terrorists must be out terrorized.

After each homicide bombing, Israel without warning should target a random city block in Gaza, repeatedly bomb it until level to the ground, killing every living soul in that block. If the terrorists do another suicide bombing, Israel should repeat, but this time two randomly selected city blocks should be subjected to the same consequences, then four blocks after the next homicide attack. Even the most cruel, stupid, and dumb beast on earth eventually comes to realize the law of diminishing returns

Russia should do likewise, they should select a village of terrorist supporters in Chechnya and destroy it, along with all the people in that village.

We are in a fight for our very survival, this is not some philosophical, theoretical and intellectual debate, it is a struggle to the death. No longer can we let the terrorists operate with no rules other than those of absolute barbarism. The civilized nations fighting the terrorists cannot be bound by humane rules of the Geneva convention when the enemy is inhumane in the truest sense of the word and are scum of the earth. The terrorists and their supporters must be made to feel unbearable pain and devastation, they must be made aware that their actions brings untold death, destruction and suffering onto their own kind. We in the civilized world are not fighting a civilized enemy, but one who commit acts of brutality which rivals that of the Nazis. We in our time are fighting the very Armageddon battle of good versus true evil here on earth.

In WW II, we bombed civilians, the only difference today is the stakes are even higher. There must be a terrible & horrible price to be paid by terrorists and their supporters, they can no longer be afforded an off limits sanctuary. I do not give a damn about world opinion, Israel and Russia must, and should do whatever is necessary to break the back of the terrorists.

One William Tecumseh Sherman said war is hell, it cannot be otherwise. Sherman has been damned in history, but he and Gen. Grant realized one thing, if hell was required to shorten the war and insure victory, then hell was what would be inflicted. By making war upon the Confederate civilian population, they had to break their will to support their troops fighting in the field. This mode of warfare was repeated again on a massive scale in WW II, the allies made very deliberate and targeted war upon civilians to kill them and break the will of the enemy.

It is my opinion that today we are faced with one of the most insidious enemies mankind has ever confronted, this enemy has but one objective and one goal, to totally and without reservation destroy civilization as we know it and replace it with evil incarnate. This enemy offers no hope of a better world, this enemy tells us upfront they desire nothing less than to cast us back into a dark age so horrible it defies description. It is a total elimination they desire of all who should dare worship any GOD, but their insane GOD of death philosophy formulated by the religion they have hijacked and perverted. Their GOD is a godless entity which denies any other GOD and incites followers to murder all who do not comply.

Careful, he still has a hand full of faithful jihadists on FR. They don't come out much in the light of day but they're still around.

And you never, ever, hear "good" Muslims stepping up to condemn these atrocities.

Sherman made war on infrastructure and displaced large segments of southern population, but he was not a butcher, he did not target civilians for destruction. Neither was our policy in W.W.II meant specifically to kill civilians as much as it was to destroy the Axis powers' means of fighting the war. Terror bombings like Dresden are contreversial to this day for the tremendous number of people they killed while destroying almost no enemy infrastructure.

What you suggest is butchery at it's most base and vile, the slaughter of people who have nothing to do with the conflict. Women, children, the old, and the lame; killing them indescriminately is black evil, and rather than deter opposition it will only serve to radicalize more and more people.

I understand your anger and frustration, but you will never defeat terrorism by creating misery, death and hopelessness. The only way is to defend yourself against attack while you work to change the conditions that allow terrorist groups to grow. That's what we're doing in Iraq, that's what we're doing in Afghanistan, and that's what we're going to continue to do.

Because we're the Americans, remember? We're the good guys. Good guys don't kill kids for what their parents are doing, and they don't punish the innocent with the guilty.

Oh yes, pat said it on air. Not only that, he devotes a whole chapter in his new anti-Bush book on that very subject.

pat has it all worked out. According to him, if we pull out of middle eastern affairs and allow the Arab world to slaughter the Israelis, they will then love us.

Personally, I don't think "NUT" adequately describes him.

I reluctantly agree. But, had this happened in France . . .

you would have supported them still. This happened to children, the true innocents. Not Russians, not French, not Israelis. Children

These rabid dogs and their families must be rooted out and destroyed from the face of this planet even if it means genocide.

Yes, you're right. Sorry, I'm just still so pissed at the French.

And I fear these precious children have died in vain. Will France come on board the WOT now? Germany? Spain? (I take that last one back.)

I know, I can well understand. Sooner or later they will have to come on board. The scum that did this to the Russians will soon do it to them as well.

I just hope it's not too late for the world at large.

"The Russian people did not stand with us In Iraq, but we will stand with them regardless."

What? The Russian political apparatus did not stand with us - not the Russian people. - I'll expand that to Slavs in general.

I believe the French, Germans, Spanish are hopelessly lost in Fantasyland; they truly believe all this terror will go away if only George Bush -- "the greatest threat to world peace" -- is defeated in November.

Thankfully, we don't really need those appeasers to win.

First off- to be a 'good' Muslim you must obey the dictates of the 'religion'. That is precisely what the terrorists are doing. They ARE the 'good' Muslims. To condemn them, or their actions, is to condemn the 'commandments' of Islam.
Persecute, destroy, and kill 'infidels' unless they are subjugated. That is in the Koran. That is the core of their beliefs.
To condemn terror and murder is to condemn Islam's modus operandi.

I hope not.

I was thinking of something today while watching these images come in from Russia. I saw something in me that I didn't like.

Rage

The kind of Rage that would exterminate the entire lower half of this globe in the next 60 minutes if I had my hand on the Nuclear launch codes.

I would hit every single solitary major city that belonged to a Muslim Govt. Then when the smoke cleared enough for me to pick new targets I would go after them until the only thing that came out of Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt and Joran was static.

"Our job is to make terrorism so horrific that is becomes unthinkable to attack Americans."

When I went to Asia in '66 - that's the way it was. When I left in '76 kids were bumping shoulders with me as we passed on the streets in Singapore and Djakarta.

I saw something in me that I didn't like. Rage

I feel the same rage. More importantly, my wife is consumed with rage -- and, let me tell you, when she's this pissed, things have really gotten out of hand.

I'm deeply troubled by many of the violent thoughts I'm having, thoughts much similar to yours. I'm deeply troubled (and understanding) by many of the enraged posts I've seen on FR tonight.

But this is the inevitable result of the failure of governments throughout the world -- including our own! -- to confront the terrorist scourge vigorously, mercilously, lethally.

I'm voting for Bush in November, without hesitation. But, I swear, if he ever looks me in the eye again and tells me, "Islam is a religion of peace", I'll . . . I'll . . .

Well, I guess I've no choice but to vote for him again, anyway.

Just damn!!!

You need to come in from that alternate universe and study the lessons of history.

Grant and Sherman shelled and killed civilians in the city of Vicksburg Mississippi for months. (the people of Vicksburg did not allow the American national athem to be played until VJ day in 1945)

Sherman shelled the citizens of Atlanta Georgia for weeks, he then burned down every single building in the city. On his march through Georgia he pillaged, burned and destroyed everything in a swath scores of miles wide. Sherman bragged of making Georgia howl, but his action broke the will of the Confederacy. I am a un-reconstructed rebel, but I very well understand why it worked and why it is was necessary from a practical point of view.

Grant shelled civilians in Richmond Virginia for months, when the city surrendered, the old photos shows nothing but a gutted remains.

The allies fire bombed the city of Cologne Germany in 1943 and killed over 100,000 in one night. The Feb. 13-14, 1945 bombing and burning of the non-military cultural center of Dresden, Germany resulted in the death of between 35,000 to 135,000 (there is no way to know, for it was jammed with refugees thinking it was a safe haven) civilians were killed in the attack. (Bomber Harris the RAF commander knew it served no tactical military purpose, he stratigically wanted to break the will of Germany to make war by inflicting civilian deaths and pain)

The Tokyo Japan firebombings instigated by USAAF General Curtis LeMay killed many more people than both atomic bombs did. The city of Tokyo was fire bombed many times along with other Japanese cities. It was nothing to kill 100,000 people in one nightly raid.

We were at war, in war one does things for self survival one would never even consider under normal circumstances, if you are not interested if America and the civilized world survives, then follow you pacifist path to perdition, for that is where it leads. We are at war now, it calls for drastic measures, we must win, there is no alternative, there is no softer, gentler sensitive side to war, war is hell itself.

I wonder if that would include the Black Muslim community in the US? Just a question, not a criticism, but what if they turn violent against US infidels?

Is a Russian/US alliance against Iran a feasible option to take out Iran? If the US Navy blockaded Iran by sea and our Air Force seized air superiority of the skies while the Russian Army marches south, would this be a good alliance or against our national interest?
Yesterday I thought no, today, though, I wonder.
