I am playing Zell's speech right now and my 13-year-old called out from the other room, "I hear Zell. Turn it up!" LOL. He and my 11-year-old and 9-year-old boys all watched the convention with me every evening. They stood and clapped several times and wanted to make their own signs to hold up in our living room. ;o)

Again, you rock for all your hard work! Only drawback is I have to install MS Office. I am being drawn to the dark side. :^)

Honestly I don't mind the cost of CDRs but I am a little leery about installing M$ Orifice and I'm little more leery about installing some freeware that I am not familiar with, call me paranoid but just because software is free doesn't make it good :) I write software and I know how exceptionally easy it is to write malicious code. Still I appreciate all your hard work! Just call me paranoid.

These links are great if you wish to download a 1k pointer to the video. Any chance of actually getting to the videos themselves? Pretty please?

anyone got an audio link for Zell and Arnold, I want to give out regular CDs for people to listen in car CD player.

I've already handed out CDs with some of the video files but now I want to do audio CDs too.

Thanks, although it does seem ironic that in order to download the RNC speaker's videos that we have to download software from China.

I've used Net Transport for nearly a year. It's safe and spyware free.

Brainhose...I didn't post the original links and didn't immediately realize that right-clicking on the link would only download the shortcut. I posted another note after few posts later pointing out my own goof. Grig actually did the original post.

Grig...is there anyway that Brainhose can download the actual .wmv files?

Only by using Net Transport as I outlined (or a similar program). http and mms are file transfer protocals, and browsers don't support mms transfers. The server notes what protocol is being used and if it's http, it sends the shortcut file, if it's mms, it sends the video file. That's why you need a program like Net Transport.
