Ebert is a worthless pile of toad goo. He spends his time giving favorable movie reviews to hollywood hatchet jobs on conservatives. He is not creative enough to do any original work in Hollywood, and not smart enough to write any real journalism.
I don't like Ebert but I wouldn't compare the change in his opinion of this film to Kerry's flip flops. The film was edited and Ebert liked it better after the editing. Kerry, on the other hand, changes his opinion based on whomever he is talking to at the time.
It's sort of like painting your house blue and Ebert saying he doesn't like it, but after it's painted yellow, he does. Kerry would look at the blue house and say he hated it one day and the very next day, say that he loved it.
Don't question Roger Ebert's patriotism. Where were YOU in Viet Nam, BUDDY?
"Apart from the news that he is a Republican, that was the most astonishing revelation he made: He doesn't like the way he looks. I disagree; I find him a striking screen presence."
...Since that's the only place I ever get to see any.
This is a bigger flip=flop than Kerry's reversal on the "troops out of Germany and Korea" issue -- Kerry favored it for 14 years, then reversed himself 1 day after Bush suddenly agreed with him.
Some movies, you just can't wait to get to the theater to watch. Others, you wait for the DVD release. Then, there are movies like this one, where reading a review will more than suffice...
Easy-peasy! Old cut, new cut, I'm gonna pass!
