Yeah, I took another look at the sight and I think it is a leftie's idea of a satirical GOP website. If it is satire it's not very funny. If it is legit it should be dismantled ASAP.

Totally agree!

And if they are for real, you're right. Scrap the current ads and get a better VO! That guy sounds rather amateurish on both ads!

While I didn't know all those things about Kerry and Sharpton, I agree with most here. Stick with facts about Kerry's record. As much as I can't stand Al Sharpton, leave him alone and focus on Kerry.

Sounds like a Terry Mc scheme.

Just like the MoveOn.org ad that they put out on President Bush and then the next day Kerry asks them to take it off the air....make him look like a good guy.

Be conservative and trust the group that has done us the most good in showing the "character" of Mr. Kerry.

Donate your money to the Swifties. This Group sounds like a con game from the get go!

TOO MANY COOKS SPOIL THE STEW!

"Mildly racist? The 2 ads both seem pretty racially divisive to me."

Isn't Al Sharpton the racially divisive one?

I don't understand why you Americans are so afraid of saying something if it is true, and relevent to the important matter at hand.

I don't buy it either. Why name a group with such a close name to the moveon jerks?

No way this is real.

Go Swifties!

I hope this guy is white because we all know that if he is not and they show his picture it will be Willie Horton radix in the press.

To this day the fact that the Willie Horton ads were/are widely considered "racist" is beyond me. The facts were true, regardless of race. Guess it's forbidden to show a scary looking really evil person if they are not white.

On another note, It scares me that this campaign will now be waged by these 527 groups that have questionable judgment. Any group with enough $ that supports Bush will be able to dominate the airwaves with ads of questionable taste and appeal. Of course the Bush campaign will be held responsible and be forced to condemn them as the NY Slimes publishes a "Web of Connections" but gives the Kerry campaign a pass.

Thank you McCain (R-Media)!

You can watch the ad on their website -- it's a terrible ad.

I am becoming more and more sure that they are a front for the real MoveOn, trying to discredit Republican 527-s.

I've tried several times to watch their ad but for some reason cannot get it to play. Could you possibly summarize it for me? How have they managed to take what sounds like such rich material and make a terrible ad?

I do not doubt that they are forming so-called "Republican" 527s and producing tasteless ads designed to turn people against Bush in the guise of taking our money to support him. That would be their typical MO and since we are not evil like they are we will be slow to respond and most likely damaged in the process. We can only hope that the "new media" will be somewhat effective in minimizing the damage. The "old media" of course will willingly play along.

The second ad will be perceived by the black liberal community as having a racist slant,

As compared to the open-mindedness that community displays today, no doubt.

Do you have Quicktime? You can try posting this into Windows Media Player or RealPlay.

"Reissfeld may have been innocent, but Kerry secured the release of this would be killer"

i.e. even if the guy is innocent, it was wrong of Kerry, as a private attorney to secure his release.

Their description:

"The first ad CLICK HERE TO VIEW (or "right click, then "save target as") will feature John Kerry’s role as a private attorney in 1982, when he secured freedom and parole for his client George Reissfelder who pled guilty to attempted murder of a police officer, bur never served his 15-year sentence because Kerry successfully secured his parole. The parole was in Florida because Mr. Kerry’s client had escaped during a furlough, just like Willie Horton. Once a free man, thanks to John Kerry, Kerry’s would-be cop killer client brazenly continued his life of crime as part of a Mafia-controlled drug ring.

The second ad, which will be aired at a later date CLICK HERE TO VIEW (or "right click, then "save target as") will feature the political alliance John Kerry has forged with Al Sharpton, focusing on Mr. Sharpton’s history, which was rarely mentioned during his 2004 run for president. Instead of the charismatic and witty Sharpton seen during his presidential bid, Americans will be educated about the real Al Sharpton, who recently blamed America for the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Sharpton who called Adolph Hitler “a great man”; the Sharpton who urged college students to kill police officers; and the Sharpton leading the picketing of a white-owned store in Harlem [calling the Jewish owner a ‘white interloper”], resulting in the store being burned down by one of Sharpton’s followers, killing seven people. The ad will include footage of Sharpton in his own words, and Mr. Kerry’s hinting of Shartpon becoming part of a Kerry administration. "

Marks is mentioned here in reference to the Buchanan love child rumor. He was once a Buchanan staffer.

http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0420/barrett.php

Jay Townsend and Stephen Marks, two ex-Buchanan staffers, recalled being questioned about the child by AP reporters. Ex-AP reporter Jonathan Salant remembers looking "at all the Buchanan campaign filings to see if there were any funny payments" that might be connected to a child cover-up. Bay Buchanan, who talked to Solomon "at length," says he pressed her about the payments.

Another 2000 mention (one ad is a 2000 retread)

http://cnnstudentnews.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/time/2000/11/06/stuff.html

Not to worry: the other side has something shocking of its own. Americans Against Hate, a newly formed group run by G.O.P. consultant Stephen Marks, is up in four states with a spot linking Gore with the Rev. Al Sharpton. Sharpton, says the announcer, admires Hitler (flash to photo of the dictator) and defends rapists and cop killers (video of Willie Horton-style mug shots). The ad asks, "Mr. Gore...what kind of unholy alliance will you have with Al Sharpton?" Another ad, sponsored by a mysterious outfit called Aretino Industries, tells us that the Clinton-Gore Administration has traded national security for campaign contributions and that China has "the ability to threaten our homes with long-range nuclear warheads." The video shows a girl plucking petals from a daisy, a takeoff on the infamous 1964 "Daisy" ad that suggested nuclear annihilation would result if Barry Goldwater won. Bush campaign officials called for the Daisy remake to be pulled (and some stations have done so).

Nashville Political Consultant Releases Song Blasting The Dixie Chicks: Half of CD Proceeds to Go to Families of Soldiers Killed in Action

Stephen Marks, a political consultant based in Nashville and Washington DC, has released a musical CD blasting the Dixie Chicks. The extremely catchy song along with its particularly biting lyric is called "You Don't Speak for Dixie." Unlike other recently-released songs supporting our troops in the wake of the Dixie Chicks controversy, Mr. Marks' song is the first to take direct aim at the female country/pop band. The song's combination of Rock & Roll, Country, and R&B, is certain to be loved by all Americans who were outraged by the Dixie Chicks' recent remarks and actions.

Highlights of the song [the first verse and chorus], as well as the lyrics in their entirety at www.downwiththedixiechicks.com.

The CD can be ordered by calling American Pride Records anytime toll free at (800) 925-1363. Half the proceeds will go to the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund, the most prominent charity set up to help children of American soldiers killed in action. The charge for the CD is $5.99.

Mr. Marks, a political consultant for presidential, statewide, and congressional political races since 1994, has previously appeared on numerous TV and radio programs including "The O'Reilly Factor," "Hannity and Colmes" Fox News Now, The Jim Bohannon Show and dozens of others. Mr. Marks has also written about politics for publications as diverse as Penthouse Magazine and New York Newsday.

What follows are the lyrics of "You Don't Speak for Dixie", written by Mr. Marks:

Verse:
You Dixie Chicks sure play a dangerous game
When you're trashin' the country that gave you your fame
Fans of your music can't believe how bad you treat 'em
'Cause their loved ones are the soldiers who are fighting for our freedom

Chorus:
To call yourselves the Dixie Chicks is a slap in our face
To call yourselves the Dixie Chicks is such a disgrace
Cause you don't speak for Dixie, No you don't speak for Dixie,
Dixie ain't your place

Verse:
How dare you stand up on the stage in a foreign land
Babblin' on about things that you don't understand
Do those stupid words really come from your brain
Or were you just a spokesman for Sadaam Hussein?

Repeat Chorus

Verse:
Now since I'm such a nice guy I'll buy for you today
Three airline tickets one-way leavin' the USA
America will then become so much more clean
Without your nude pictures on some rag magazine.
America will then finally be rid of you
Cause you three sure ain't worthy of the red white and blue

Repeat Chorus

From the KSFO website.

MELANIE RECOMMENDS...

How Citizen Activism is Helping Win the War Against Terrorism

When gunnery sergeant, John Ubaldi, of the U.S. Marine Corps returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan he couldn’t believe his eyes and ears.

During his time in Afghanistan, Ubaldi had seen in post-war country that was basking in liberty after having endured years of oppression and fear. He had seen a sense of purpose and determination in the Afghan people to turn their lives around and secure a brighter future with free elections, free markets and free expression.

But the Afghanistan that Ubaldi saw reported by the American media was something he didn’t recognize at all. On television newscasts and on the front pages of major city dailies Ubaldi saw reports of despair; predictions that elections would never come; resentment towards American forces; and constant attacks on our troops by strong bands of resistance.

That the overwhelmingly liberal news media could create their own fantasy-land of reality deeply troubled Ubaldi who was returning to work in the private sector. He was determined to do something to fight back against those who were undermining national resolve for the war against terrorist forces. So Ubaldi spoke to his employer who just happened to be an adviser to former State Assemblyman Howard Kaloogian.

Kaloogian is a household name to those in the conservative movement. Besides his impressive six-year stint in the State Legislature, Kaloogian was most recently the Chairman of the Recall Gray Davis Committee, which helped liberate the people of California from the failed regime of Gray Davis.

I had the privilege to work side-by-side with Kaloogian as we advanced the recall cause and worked to make sure it had the momentum and media coverage it needed to succeed. Howard and I organized rallies and drive-by signings in every corner of the state. We defended attacks on the recall process from national Democrat Party operatives on national cable and broadcast television networks.

Through the process we built up a network of hundreds of thousands of citizen activists and Howard and I have been determined to keep these people involved in projects where they can unite to help make a difference.

And there stands no more important cause for citizen activism than in working to support the heroic men and women of our armed forces and their fight against terrorism.

John Ubaldi’s desire to see something done to counter the attacks on our troops by the liberal media and far-left political activists was a clarion call for action to Howard Kaloogian and I.

We launched "Move America Forward" in May and have worked to spread the message supporting our troops and their brave and noble work to people all throughout the nation. It’s a daunting task – trying to communicate with 300 million Americans.

Compared to the risks that our troops endure every day, so that we have the right to exercise such citizen action and enjoy such precious freedoms, the challenges we face at Move America Forward are a pitifully small sacrifice.

Thus far we have collected supplies for Care Packages for our troops; helped raise funds for Marine social events to welcome our troops home; locked horns with Michael Moore and raised opposition to his anti-American propaganda flick, "Fahrenheit 9/11"; and broadcast television commercials throughout the nation with a message of support for our troops and the war effort.

Our nation must retain its commitment and resolve to prevail in the struggle for freedom against the hostile forces of terrorism and those nations that support them.

Thanks to a young man who bravely served in Afghanistan we’re rallying Americans to stand together in a way that has never really been done before.

That’s how citizen activism can help win the war on terrorism. We welcome your involvement today!

Melanie Morgan is Vice Chair of Move America Forward and is the co-host of the popular Lee Rodgers & Melanie Morgan program which airs from 5:00-9:00 AM on KSFO AM 560. To learn more about Move America Forward, visit their website: www.MoveAmericaForward.or
