The Insanity of the Left!

On the heels of the Republican National Convention you might expect this column to be about the highlights of that convention. You might expect it to contain praise for the tremendous speeches delivered by First Lady Laura Bush, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Vice-President Dick Cheney, President Bush, or even Senator Zell Miller, whose speech was by far the best of them all.

Yes you might expect those items to be covered here but they will only be mentioned in passing. Why? Simply put there is a much more telling phenomenon occurring right now. This phenomenon revolves around how the Democratic Party is imploding. And surely this is most telling where the presidential election is concerned.

The presidential aspirations of Senator John Kerry are beginning to slip slowly away and his supporters are beginning to show the sure signs of stress and outright panic. And as we Conservatives are very well aware Liberals are apt to say and do the craziest things when they feel things are going against them. These days, my friends those on the far-left are saying some absolutely insane things and those things need to be told.

Some very good examples could of course be found among the wacky protesters who were all too present in New York during the Republican Convention. There were throw backs to the hippy days of Woodstock, there were people stripping naked to stop the war in Iraq. And might I ask why are those who strip at these things always the ones who most need to keep their clothes on? If there is going to be stripping involved in a protest let them hire Halle Berry or Salma Hayeck for goodness sake.

There were people protesting everything and anything. Tens-of-thousands of clueless folks carrying signs and shouting silly slogans and generally making complete fools of themselves. But we all expected these folks to come out of the woodwork didn’t we? These are the same radicals who break out their signs and chants every time a Republican president takes any type of stand. And to be frank no one takes them seriously.

Oh but the more mainstream Democratic supporters are beginning to act like these protesters however. It is becoming rather difficult to tell where the nuts end an the sane folks begin in the Democratic Party.

Consider the remarks made at a recent National Organization for Women rally in New York for instance. The rally, named “Code Red: Stop The Bush Agenda Rally”, was held in Central Park and featured some of the most incredibly inane things you will ever hear.

U.S. Rep. Major Owens went off the deep end declaring that George W. Bush was taking America “ into a snake-pit of fascism”. Owens also said the Bush administration “spits on Democracy”. But he did not stop his idiocy there though my friends.

Owens went on to say that Bush stole the 2000 election and would surely steal this one as well. Do these people ever get over their rage and sore loser attitudes? Owens had still more to say adding this jewel of irrationality. “ The Bush administration is bringing tremendous sums of money and power to bear on our media systems, our communication systems, and they are going to force people to vote-- put people into a state of confusion where they vote against their own interest.” Got that? President Bush is forcing Americans to vote now! Can the black helicopters be far behind?

Owens was not alone in his raving however. Poet Molly Birnbaum read one of her poems to the crowd. “ Imagine a way to erase that night four years ago when you (President Bush) savagely raped every pandemic woman over and over with each vote you got, a thrust with each state you stole. A smack with each bill you passed, a tear with each right you took until you left me disenfranchised with my hands shackled and my voice restrained.” So now Bush getting votes is equal to rape? And certainly Ms. Birnbaum had no problem spewing her venomous ramblings despite her claim that Bush had stolen her rights.

Birnbaum was followed by Gina Young, a singer who sang to the crowd her song of protest against George Bush. “ I got better grades than you, you stupid boy W. Your dad was a killer too, and you know that nobody voted for you.” Young’s song goes downhill from there and the lowlight comes when she calls President Bush a “bastard”. Such eloquence.

Then another poet, Ann Chin, took the stage and added her hatred to the bigotry fest. Chin expressed a desire that her message would frighten President Bush and make him cower in fear. “I want to be that voice that makes George Bush so scared he hires two butch black bodyguards.” Again such intellectual depth from these fanatics.

And of course these leftists had their trusty signs declaring slogans like “Keep your politics out of my vagina” and “ Keep you God out of my government, keep your laws off my body” and the ever popular “ War is not pro-life”.

The lunacy offered up shows just how delusional the far-left is in America, and sadly it also shows how much of the Democratic Party is represented by these folks and their senseless ramblings. The Democratic Party is angry and they are showing it my friends. They can sense the looming election disaster for Kerry and considering the remarks coming from these folks a Kerry loss will be a great blessing for America.

You're right. These people want to take away the vote. They know what best. Pure, unadulterated communism.

I read the "pandemic" line to be yet another slap at W over AIDS research. I know that makes no sense since Bush is giving more money to that the rest of the world put together.
Of course he does not get credit for this. Again. Bush is both the Ignorant savage and the evil genius (bush/hitler).

If only AlGore had been smart enough to keep Bush from stealing his home state! Damn those wiley idiot-savant Bushies!!

> Anyone know what a "pandemic woman" is?

Pan refers to kitchen workers, demic to those who vote Democratic. So Bush raped all female kitchen workers.

She leaves unexplained, though, Bush's formerly undocumented penchant for kitchen workers.

What's a "pandemic woman?"

A walking petri dish who cracks mirrors with a glance, was dumped recently by her last activist boyfriend/girlfriend/animalfriend and doesn't have this month's rent, hence the anger at Bush and men in general.

LOL, not really. It just amazes me to hear the screeching hyperbole of the left, how a vote becomes rape, and how conservatism becomes Hitler.

Bravo! And YIPPEE! for the President, who has managed, with the deftest of Strategery, to give these idiots enough room to trot out their angst, hatred, sexual pecadilloes, and illiteracy, all under the name of "protest." Nice work, Mr. President! Play on.

A pandemic is a disease that affects people or animals over an extensive geographical area (from Greek pan all + demos people). Technically speaking it should cover the whole globe and affect everyone.

One of the things that energizes their craziness is their God-rejecting "no absolute right or wrong" meme. It allows them to justify parasitic, demented lifestyles, while they rail at the decency that allows their support. They want anarchy for themselves, and totalitarian strictness for us.

I guess it is not possible for a male Democrat to rape a woman.

Hell a male democrat is an oxymoron.

Concerning "pandemic", Webster says it can mean "universal" or "general". So pandemic woman might be an attempt to say "womanhood". The speaker was obviously stretching to sound poetic.

When someone claims to be a poet, but truly has no talent, a common tactic (in my observation) is to use garbled language that cannot be understood. You appreciate it the same way you appreciate abstract art: You may not understand it, but if you learn to nod at the right time and use the right buzz words, you will be acceptable in the right crowds. Then you can scoff at those who openly admit that they don't get it.
