Ive seen several reports still claiming he was captured, but they are basically rehashes from the old story.

One is dated for Sept 6th! (asia)

Looks like we werent the only ones fooled by this one. All the media seem to have ran with it.

Maybe it will pan out in a day or 2, or he will feel guilty and turn himself in.

Al-Douri reportedly suffers from leukemia, and needs blood transfusions.

Maybe he knows where the WMDs are.

I was wondering what he looked like. That sure is a series expression on his face. He looks like he needs a shower.

just getting home now, trying to follow this story with scant media reports today.

not sure what to make of this - but one thing, perhaps his capture cannot be acknowledged. if he has information to give, and he wants to enter the "witness protection program", we certainly can't say that we nabbed him, only to release him later. we've got to deny his capture right away, so he can just fade away.

if, within the next 2-3 weeks, suddenly we see some new bunker located with WMD - we'll know we got him, and what information he turned over to secure his new identity.

Person taken into custody by government troops as he is leaving a clinic.

Person never seen or heard of again.

Government denies any knowledge of the arrest or where abouts of person.

One of those little bumps in the road to democracy.
