The story is that just after they were freed from the USSR, a group of children there were visited by a vision of Saint George. He told them to convert from paganism to Christianity, and they were sort of getting started in that direction already.

After that he told them to watch out for their little ones. Even though it was about ten years ago, as the Russians will, they blame themselves for any and all tragedies. It's a spiritual self-chastizement.

Yes, anyone who's ever struggled through the 1000+ pages of a classical Russian novel knows that. Dostoevsky's books are a prime example. It's not that profound truths aren't expressed, they are. And expressed, and expressed, and expressed.....
