They Knifed Babies, They Raped Girls
Sunday Mirror ^ | September 5, 2004 | Euan Stretch

THE full horror of the Russian school atrocity began to emerge yesterday as traumatised children told horrific tales of stabbed babies and brutal rapes.

It has also emerged that scores of the 323 who died - including many children - had been shot in the back.

While despairing soldiers and rescue workers moved among the growing pile of body bags, it was revealed that an 18-month-old baby had been repeatedly stabbed by a black-clad terrorist who had run out of ammunition.

Other survivors told how screaming teenage girls were dragged into rooms adjoining the gymnasium where they were being held and raped by their Chechen captors who chillingly made a video film of their appalling exploits

They said children were forced to drink their own urine and eat the petals off the flowers they had brought their teachers after nearly three days without food or water in the stifling hot gym.

Their stories came as Russian officials warned that the final death toll of the siege of Middle School No 1 at Beslan in North Ossetia - in which up to 1,200 people were held captive - was likely to be more than 400.

The official toll yesterday stood at 323 which included 156 children, 10 Russian soldiers and two emergency service workers - 35 of the hostage-takers were also killed. Last night 434 people were being treated in hospital with 247 children and 85 adults in a critical condition.

A Russian official said six seriously injured children had been taken to Moscow for treatment.

"One of them is a child, just 18 months old, with many knife wounds," he said.

They are Anglicans, Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans, and Catholics. They are the black Africans of southern Sudan, and for believing that Jesus is God, they are raped, tortured, enslaved, or burned to death at the hands of their Islamic Arab countrymen.

They are crucified—the infant children nailed to trees with steel spikes—or beheaded. In a campaign of systematic genocide, Sudanese government forces spray them with helicopter gunfire to run them off oil-rich land and bomb their hospitals, schools, relief centers, and marketplaces. This is the testimony that Roger Winter, executive director of the U.S. Committee for Refugees, recently gave to the House subcommittee on Africa.

The northern Arabs pierce the lips of their torture victims, then insert and shut padlocks to keep them from telling of their ordeals. Beyond the political-economic issues in Sudan's 18-year-old civil war—the south seeks autonomy, inflicting its own military terrors upon Arab civilians—official smothering of religious freedom is part of the government forces' cruelty, according to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. The government in Khartoum imposed Islamic law nearly 10 years ago, and forced conversions (with accompanying genital mutilation) are common.

From Christianity Today --- whatever Arabs would do to an African, they would do to a European, an Asian, or an American. They are doing this in the name of Allah and it's the same wherever they go.

Ever since some Muslim shot and destroyed the health of the Pope, he became weakened. I'm not sure what happened, but he even went to visit that Muslim who tried to murder him. It's kind of like democrats who backed down after supporting Israel after a Muslim killed Robert F. Kennedy. Which is why Muslims know murder and massacre is so effective.

Well --- if it's the Russians' or anyone's fault --- it's their fault because they ignored this kind of thing as long as it was somewhere else. Now they're coming for them --- and us and nothing will be different for us than it was for their previous victims.

At first I was pretty upset that the Pope would befriend the muslim leadership, but it's his job to rolemodel Jesus Christ so I can't fault him for that. However, it seems to me that radical muslims take kindness for weakness and christian belief as a fault and another weakness. In fact, when some of my customers tell me why they converted to islam, they say it's because christianity taught them to be weak and unselfish and thus easy to enslave.

The Pope is a liberal and a pacifist. That doesn't necessarily make him a bad person but he is not a warrior. It is doubtful his successor will be either.

I don't think kids would strip all their clothes just for it being hot --- when it's over 100 plus in a room, you are not cooler by being naked and these kids were too terrified to make a move on their own. Even middle school and elementary school kids feel more vulnerable without clothes, no way do I believe they removed their own clothes for innocent reasons.

From the NY times:

"Temperatures had become stifling, survivors and their families said Saturday . . . . .

"On the first day, they were given buckets of water and cups, but not enough, and people grew parched with thirst. The captors took clothes, soaked them in water and threw them to the crowd, who clutched them and wrung them above their open mouths, drinking the drops . . . .

"People did whatever they could to take care of themselves, shedding clothes to cool down, and tearing apart school textbooks to use as fans. "For two days I was continually waving my arm to fan my children," Ms. Bekoyeva said. "They kept asking for more."

"By late Friday morning, as the temperature soared anew in the crowded gymnasium, the hostages were becoming weaker by the hour. "People were almost losing consciousness," Azamat said."

The adults and children were in a state where normal inhibitions no longer apply.

Elsewhere I have read that children urinated into bottles and drank it.

I have no doubt they also stripped to their underwear.

As for any who may have emerged naked from the school--it is just as likely their undergarments were blown away from the force of the explosion and/or consumed by fire.

So kids in their underwear or even naked is not proof of itself they were assaulted.

Nice passage from the Koran. Here's a few from the Old Testament:

1 Sam 15: Samuel said to Saul. "I am the one whom the Lord sent to annoint you king of his people Israel. Now listen to what the Lord Almighty says. He is going to punish the people of Amalek because their ancestors opposed the Israelites when they were coming to Egypt. Go and attack the Amalekites and completely destroy everything they have. Don't leave a thing, kill all the men, women, children and babies; the cattle, sheep, camels and donkeys."

Your Koran passage was pretty vicious too, but the above passage describes killing (ordered allegedly by God) for being infidels too. That's my point. There can be passages taken from the Old Testament as well as the Koran to demonize a particular religion.

Here's another:

Hosea 9: 10-12

The Lord is angry that Israel was worshipping false Gods (i.e being infidels). So he pronounces judgement.

"Israel's greatness will fly away like a bird, and there will be no more children born to them, no more women pregnant, no more children conceived. But then if they did bring up children, I would take them away and not leave one alive."

One can say the Lord ordered this, just as a Muslim can say Allah ordered atrocities. Do you understand the point I making in general about religious fanaticism? I fully understand that Muslims, still being in the less civilized state, would commit atrocities, just as bible followers did before they were civilized. Hence I am not saying that there are not whacked out Muslims, I am saying the majority are probably not militant freaks. I don't judge Jews (the way anti-semites do) on the basis of a few passages in the Old Testament, nor will I judge all Muslims on the basis of a few equally atrocious passages in the Koran.

Here's another:

Hosea 13: 16--"Samaria must be punished for rebelling against me. Her people will die in war, babies will be dashed to the ground, and pregnant women will be ripped open."

This passage is allegedly a quote from God. So please don't try to tell me it wasn't written that God didn't instruct these things because it is written in black and white. The point, originally, was that those opposed to our religion can use such passages to paint us as all fundamentalist whackos.

Oh, the litmus test. Don't hold your breath waiting for a straight answer. If you get an answer at all, it will be something like "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

Let´s not insult animals. These unnameable beings are not animals... animals don´t do these things to their own. These entities are spawns of the devil (I refuse to capitalize his hideous names).

Is that Arinze? It's doubtful. There is an old saying, "He who goes into the conclave a pope comes out a cardinal."

Maybe not proof --- but I think they were assaulted or at least sexually humiliated. We'll see what comes out in as investigations are done.

I'm so furious now. NBC news tried to pawn it off as caused by a Russian attack on the hostage takers. I wish I was on meds so I could take some more!!
