The press and the liberals want us to forget. Instead, let's remember what happened.
We need photos of the terror that was brought upon us.
I will never forget.
I remember seeing that face of evil in the smoke. However the plumes arranged themselves it was there for all to see.
At the time this happened, I tried to save every picture I came across. I have about 500 photos stored on my hard drive.
I just bought a "coffee table book" called "Stay Tuned" for $10 (was $50) and it has memorable TV moments. Both the book and the companion DVD talk about 9/11 (with CNN's
Arrogant Brownnose). At the end it talked about how the nation came together.
Yes, and a couple years later the libs have torn us apart again. "Have you forgotten?" The libs have.
These are some great photos.
There are thousands of photos and I will be trying to update an organize again in the next week.
P.S. Yes, I am aware there are some bad links, I am working on them.
I've often wondered if people actually survived the collapse, only to die a long and painful death under all of the Twin Tower's debris.
I will never forget!
There's a site that has a terrible video of the second aircraft strike: www.thenausea.com/documents.html
I will never forget that ISLAMIC monsters did this in the name of ALLAH.
A BIG ping to you....... a great website
Are there any FR live threads from 3 years ago that are archived? It would be fascinating to read an "as it happened."
Something you could probably use right here.
I can't find my favorite on the web, but it was the front page of the San Francisco Examiner, and had just one word in the headline... BASTARDS!
I've emailed the site about this. Let's hope they get something going.
I wonder what was going through his mind,
when he was told of the attack. He had
not "seen" the actual attacks on the WTC
Somebody has a list of 9-11 threads, including the live one. It's a very hard read because it takes you back to that moment. I'm not sure who posted it, though.
I hope I copied this link right. Let me know if I didn't.
This site has some good pictures. Patriotic.
NYC WAS a political event and it must be presented as such. Kerry GUARANTEES it will happen again; Bush at least, is trying to make sure it doesn't.
Pinging for "I was ____ when it happened" read later and photo essay.
Check this one out:
ping for later
I don't mean to be cruel, but we MUST face the truth rather than sanitize it. Yes, people died horrible deaths. Anyone who was caught on the lower floors when the buildings collapsed may have died that way. However, most of the victims were crushed and quite literally pulverized.
The fact is the vast majority of those who died were the people on the floors where the planes impacted, and above. Those people were trapped in buildings that stood for about an hour after each impact. There was a raging inferno on the floors directly affected by the impacts. There was intense heat and choking smoke. Some people were injured and/or burned during the impacts, but survived only to be trapped on the upper floors. All of those trapped people suffered horribly, whether injured or not.
As we know, many people either fell or chose to jump to their deaths rather than face the fire. In all likelihood, there were signs on those upper floors that the buildings were unstable, and that may have been why some chose to jump.
Everyone trapped on the upper floors who survived the impact, and who did not jump, was caught in what amounted to a massive concrete mixer when the top floors gave way. They were literally torn to pieces in that maelstrom, which was in some respects similar to a violent tornado. It was composed of wind, extreme heat, pressure, violently swirling bits of concrete, steel, sheetrock, desks, computers, glass, etc., as well as smoke and dust. What chance would a human body have in amongst all that?
Importantly in the context of what just happened in Russia: It is not widely understood that children died in those buildings and on those planes. There were infants and young children on those planes, yet that didn't stop the radical Islamic monsters from using their small bodies as part of what became missiles aimed at ground targets.
We must not forget, true. More importantly, we must remove the blinders of sanitization that the media placed on 9/11, and see the full horror of those events. It's the only thing that will prevent us from becoming complacent ever again.
There may be others, but this is what I found in a brief search:
Wow! That's is a fabulous website on the attacks. Thanks for posting the link.
triple link BUMP
Six link BUMP
I have this poster at home. Thank You.
Thank you Traumer. That sums it up nicely for me!
Thanks for the links
Rereading those makes my blood boil over what Kerry and his ilk are up to today.
They've forgotten what happened.
When I was watching the live news a woman was being interviewed by a network when the first tower collapsed. The woman started screaming "oh my god" repeatedly, then the feed stopped as the tower disappeared.
Does anybody know what happened to that woman and the reporter? Did they survive?
Can't help you with this one. I live in the L.A. area. The first attack happened before 6:00am our time. I was awakened by my clock radio. Some note of extreme urgency got through to my sleepy brain. The talk radio guy was saying, "This is huge." Even though I didn't know what he was referring to, I somehow knew from his tone of voice that something terrible had happened. I suddenly jerked wide awake and turned on the TV just before the second plane struck.
On 9-11 I was visiting a friend of mine in Texas...he was dying of cancer. I was watching all the crap hit the fan while he was in a morophine induced sleep that morning.
He arose after all the flights had been grounded, came up to me and asked how the day was going.
Of course, he didn't believe a word of it until he saw the a replay of the towers falling on the news. He was a vietnam and Korea war vet. He just shook his head and said that we're going to war again.
I drove from Dallas to Los Angeles with only a 1 hr. nap. I was wired.
