...I could never have imagined such brutality and utter disregard for human life.Human beasts always walk among us. But civilized societies do all they can to prevent and punish savage criminal behavior. Islam, on the other hand, seems to relish savagry.

It corroborates what the survivors have been telling the press. The survivors have given excellent descriptions of what happened inside that school.

I don't blame them, either. If a child of mine was slaughtered like that, I would too.

I strongly fear this happening here if Kerry becomes president. It may, anyway, but at least I know President Bush is doing everything possible to try to prevent it. You clearly live in a cave or are very isolated. Look at the cities in many regions of our country. They are being over run with illegal aliens and thousands of those from the Mid East. Look at Houston for example. It has one of the fastest growing *legal* mid eastern populations in the entire country.
Our borders now resemble a Boston Marathon of millions that are creating massive lawlessness, fraud, etc. Out of the hundreds of thousands that enter unabated, we haven't a clue who these people may be. Not a damn clue.

Apparently, videos of terrorist acts are sold for entertainment in Chechnya. In their heyday in the mid-90's kiosks everywhere in ikcheria had mutilple videos for sale, many with the most barbaric and blood-soaked killings you could imagine.

While I have enormous sympathy for the Russian people, and especially the people of Beslan, I have none for Putin. He could have joined us in this very real world war, but chose to side with Chirac and Schroeder.

From the wires running to it, though, I think it's a package of explosives. Or else they booby-trapped the victim's head after decapitation.
I wouldn't put anything past these monsters.

It angers me when I hear some mullah or cleric say "these were not Muslims, they were criminals".
This is pure denial. They were indeed Muslims.
Also, why does the medial insist on calling them millitants? They were Muslim terrorists.
The Muslims need to do some self correcting of their society.
To: Alouette
I thought I read somewhere that the head of one of those killed early on was used to keep the others in line...
To: Brad's Gramma
Hi, Brad's Gramma. Too horrible for words. I wish President Bush would arrange to go to Beslan to show American solidarity with the Russian terror victims.

The horror that will reside in these children is almost more than can be contemplated. May GOD erase this from their minds.

Well, yes, but Abu Garaib, now THAT was torture
And so was the daily barrage of libMedia reports about the atrocities at Abu Ghraib.
[Notice that, per the media and politicians, Abu Ghraib was 'atrocities' but 9-11, Beslan School, etc., are 'tragedies'.]

Will the NYTimes run 30+ consecutive days of headlines on this massacre as they did with the prison scandal? I guess the pain, suffering and deaths of hundreds of women and children does not compare to a few Iraqi criminals being stripped and forced to wear panties.

I learned about such videos this morning as I watched clips of this video on the news. The reporter was explaining reasons why the terrorists may have taken the video (there may be other videos, by the way).
Unlike many people, I refuse to use the word "sick" to describe such behavior. "Sick" implies an illness. If someone is ill, they are not responsible for their behavior. No, terrorists are not "sick." Depraved, yes.
