'Texans for Truth' is getting its turn at bat today, just in time for the 60 Minutet II interview with Former Texas Lt. Governor Ben Barnes tonight.

'Texans for Truth' is an arm of Drive Democracy, an Austin based group that got its initial funding from the liberal group Moveon.Org.

The Moveon PAC and Moveon Voter Fund have spent about $7 million since March 1 on anti Bush TV ads.

Drive Democracy is run by Glenn Smith who managed the unsuccessful 2002 Texas gubernatorial campaign of Democrat Tony Sanchez.

Smith is a former managing director at the consulting firm Public Strategies, which employs former Texas Governor Ann Richards.

'Texans for Truth plans to spend $100,000 to $200,000 to run the ad for a week in closely contested states that are home to large numbers of families of US troops killed in Iraq.

Such states include Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Oregon and Arizona.

The Bush campagin is crying foul. 'The president served honorably in the National Guard, fulfilled his duties and was honorably discharged,' campaign spokesman Steve Schmidt said.

What a bunch of idiots. Bush has not made his National Guard service an important part of his campaign. Kerry has made his Swiftboat service an important part of his campaign.

These guys spend a lot of effort barking up the wrong tree.

This is B.S. The so called Texans for Truth are motivated by a group of Texas Musicians, aka Dixie Chicks, Joe Ely, Delbert McClinton. The Chicks are big time behind this and they blame Bush for their decline after Natalie Maines remarks about Bush. I am Texan and I am sick of these so called special interest groups.

November 2 can not get here soon enough. The American Public is worn out with this B.S.

Great. Lets just keep talking about the Vietnam era. What idiots. Does anybody remember everyone in their High School Class? No. I'm retired Army and do I remember every one in every unit I served? NO.Does that mean they weren't there? NO. Does it mean I wasn't there? NO.

This makes the liberals look desperate. Joe Public will look at this inertly or negatively against Kerry.

Hadn't thought about that. They are defaming all Texans by trying to attribute their psychosis to you, aren't they?

This is not something that we should pretend is going to have no effect on the voters. Kerry took a beating due to the Swift Boats but with the main stream media's constant accusation that Bush and Co. had something to do with them, don't be surprised to see Bush drop in the polls after they get through with this.

BUSH:
ALLEGEDLY DID NOT SHOW UP FOR SOMETHING DURING HIS SERVICE.

KERRY:
MET WITH NORTH VIETNAMESE COMMUNIST IN TIME OF WAR

ADMITTED TO WAR CRIMES

THREW HIS OR SOMEONE ELSES METALS OR RIBBONS OR BOTH AT THE WHITE HOUSE IN PROTEST

Yeah, I'd say these issues are equivalent. Wouldn't you?

Depends how the 60 Minutes II interview plays tonight, could be a non issue if the mainstream largely ignores it..

Check the number of times this has been posted from various sources.

Now, how did Ben Barnes help Bush get into the guard in 1968, when he wasn't the LT governor of Texas until 1969?

LT governors of Texas

Seems very odd. Just another lie by the RATs and the liberal media just plays into their hands.

You forgot to mention Kerry was present at a 1971 meeting that discussed the assassination of Senator Jesse Helms and Cokie Roberts father..

You should all be listening to Glenn Beck right now. He is talking about the Kitty Kelly book making it's claims about Laura Bush smoking pot in the 60's. He is having people call in to say what they did in the 60's. This is going to back fire on these stupid libs. They are at all all time low, and just think because they say it .... it will stick. It is time for all of us to speak out against these stupid low attepts to pull down our President.

I am calling CBS and letting moveon.com know how I feel along with these musicians. I have sent them back the cd's I bought. I will NEVER watch any of the liberal movie stars shows, I will NOT give any of them another dime of my hard earned money.

This is a scattered mortar barrage from the Dems.
Wait until the napalm from the Swift Boat ad on Paris.
