There once was an exstemed jurist from TX by the name of Judge Roy Bean, he had the perfect way to deal with this scum. He said, "We will have fair and honest trial, followed by a right nice hanging."

I think this may be the only real solution countries may have against terrorists. They all seem to draw their strength, direction and money from their leaders. I think Basayev's time is very limited.

No this isn't the solution at all. Assassination is a tool but a limited one. The Bush doctrine is the only way. The problem is that people misunderstand the full extent of the Bush philosophy. The idea that sovereign nations are held responsible for the scum that inhabit their borders is the real power. At then point in time any country's scum become such a force that another 9/11 might be possible, that country is now a viable target of the U.S. They have a choice take care of the scum themselves or run the risk of the U.S. to take care of it for them.

This doctrine has already reaped benefits with Libya and Pakistan. This is the way countries should take care of things. Out in the open and above board. Too much special ops and cloak and dagger makes people believe the problems aren't all that bad to begin with. The leftists use that to their advantage. Look at Iraq. I see it that the resistance we've run into means we've flushed out a huge pocket of possible terrorists. The left sees insurgents that have a valid reason to hate America.

Dubya has reformed the defense department thoroughly this term. I don't agree with it all, but it needed doing. I want him to clean house at State in his second term. It's needed it even longer. I'd like to see Rumsfeld as SECSTATE. Either him or Wolfowitz.

I'd love to see a Neocon Hawk Jew in there as a Big Badfinger to the collective Arab world.

Well, we have our own Chechen right here in the US that the Russians are looking for. We gave him asylum last month. Here's an excerpt from a story in the Washington Post:

"Tuesday, August 10, 2004; Page A18

LAST WEEK, the U.S. government granted political asylum to Ilyas Akhmadov, who was the foreign minister of an elected, moderate, separatist Chechen government and has been in exile since 1999. Or perhaps it is more accurate to say that last month, one part of the government, the Department of Homeland Security, dropped its appeal against another part of the government: the immigration court in Boston that granted Mr. Akhmadov asylum months ago. The DHS appeal had little foundation. After hearing Mr. Akhmadov's case, the immigration judge pointed out that if he were returned to Russia, there was little doubt the Chechen leader would be "shot without being afforded the opportunity to defend himself in a trial, as has happened to other members of the Chechen government." The subsequent appeal was widely believed to have been made not on the merits of the case, but as a favor to the Russian government, which considers Mr. Akhmadov a terrorist.

Akhmed Zakayev said the vow meant Russia may try to assassinate Chechens wherever they are, regardless of international boundaries.

So that means one or more less baby killin muslim child-rapists walking the Earth, right?

No problems here, good hunting Ivan!

Expect the Arabist U.S. State Department to throw a collective fit if the Russians get heavy-handed with terrorists, just as they do when the Israelis take care of their own business.

It's past time to drain the left-wing swamp at Foggy Bottom. Holdover Clintonistas and Bush-41 Arabist nitwits are still clinging to 9/10 policies in a 9/12 world. Cleaning house there should be GWB's #1 priority after Nov. 2nd.

Here's a suggestion:

Paul Wolfowitz to replace Colin Powell if Powell decides to step down in a 2nd GWB admin. That'll fix 'em.

The unyielding anger Pres Bush spoke of after 9/11 is the same anger Putin and countrymen - heck, all of us - feel now. Too, Pres Bush said those who harbor terrorists would also feel our wrath. How is Putin any different?

Would you want to see Christian Chechens microchipped? How about Jewish ones? Along with that logic, since most Green terrorists who burn Hummers are WASPs from the suburbs, microchip all suburban WASPs!

With us or with the terrorists. It was bad enough when some nations allowed safe passage of Nazis and Nazi banking during WWII claiming "neutrality".

Just don't put any panties on their heads.

I'm behind the Russians on this one. Maybe while they're at it, they will get rid of some of the Muslim terrorists living in this country too and save us the same fate thay have suffered in Beslan.

It ought to be Open Season on Muslim terrorists everywhere in the world, not just Afghanistan, Iraq and Gaza.

As in, the final solution? Do you advocate liquidating *all* Chechens, no matter what their beliefs or polity?

If you can't kill evil terrorists set on world domination, what else is a "license to kill" good for?
