This even exceeded my expectations. Rather is Biased beyond anything I've ever seen.

It's hysterical. The number 1 book in the Country never got any attention. Rather only mentioned it to discredit it.

This is really something else.

Rather is my least favorite person on the planet.

'Kerry had quite a few people; how did HE get into the Naval Reserve? How did he get out early????'

I think Kerry got the bum's rush from the other officers who didn't want him around anymore and helped him jack up his medals to get out of there- I think Kerry is hiding a mental case thing, and the Swifties are black-mailing him into apologizing to the Nation, instead of revealing it.

If, and I mean if, these memos are genuine, then this is a very big deal.

Interesting--CBS didn't emphasize the Barnes interview--but focused on the found documents.

This is a paper trail that might have legs.

I was shocked to hear Evan Thomas explain to Imus that the time Kerry enlisted was two full years before GWB served and by then the nation was sick with the war and everyone was trying their utmost to get out of serving. He's convinced that had Kerry waited two years, he would have tried his utmost to get a deferment.

The sponsors for that segment were:

Kia
Zelnorn
Sprint
UPS Store
Campbells Soup

I think I'll start with Campbells and see what they think of this.

Every damned "witness" is now dead. I want to see an analysis of those new papers. They are all type written so it should be possible to see if it was written on a Government Issue typewriter of that era. This stinks like week old fish.

Bartlett was generally ineffective. His demeanor isn't very good. Fidgety and he isn't that good at communicating. Odd that he is the Dir. of communications.

"Email ONLY! Watching only improves their ratings"

Unless that transmitter in your head is still working....I doubt that they will know if you are watching. But then again....maybe it is working.

Aren't you also worried about Predator...picking up your e-mails?

The guard unit Bush was in was not that popular with people avoiding the draft. First pilots had to to through over a years active duty. Then there were far more comittments than for an army guard unit.

When Bush joined that unit it had many unfilled opeinngs.

In Regular guard units one could spend 6 months on active duty and then spend 5.5 years of once a month weekend drills.

For Bush's unit one spent nearly as much time on active duty as a draftee and then still had to do the week end drills for years.

If one was avoiding the draft there were far better choices then the one taken by president bush.

I had a similar circumstance in 1964. I left ohio for a short term job in Iowa. Like Bush I did not leave my home state Guard. I was just ordered to train with the Iowa guarnd unit. The problem for me was the Iowa Guard did not want to spend the money to train an OHio guardsman.

I attended NO drills in Iowa.. The Iowa guard did not want to train me for no money.

The media makes me very angry. They promote the spin even when to anyone who knows the facts , the spin is nothing but a bunch of lies.

No I didn't hear anything new at all. But I didn't really get a good look at those documents Dan Blather presented (was distracted as usual).

Well that was a big bunch of nothing. The only thing that came from 60 minutes is that Dan Rather is a shameless mouthpiece for Kerry! If they really had something big, don't you think they would have spent the whole show on it?
