They sell barf bags at your pharamacy? Last time I tried to pick some up, the pharmacist said he had none, and had no idea where to get them from.
I think it will "play" my blood pressure through the roof.
Lost dinner already just with the intro...tick,tick,tick,tick..
I'm betting they run this last.
And the lead in, "Breaking his silence after 30 years..."
What a lie.
Ummmmmmmmm, no (is he another Lloyd?)
Hmmm...the segment on Robert Duval looks interesting; he bashes Steven Speilberg? Cool.
Wow, Robert Duval. I'll have to make sure I watch so I can hear what he's got to say about Spielberg.
I have lived in Austin since 1970 and i can tell you from experience that Ben Barnes, in my opinion, is a truly corrupt politician in every sense of the word. The liberals at CBS who are openly pro Kerry will never tell the whole story. They never do.
He's another Wilson. Except Wilson made some fancy coffee table mag. Barnes won't even get pregnant with bigfoot's baby.
That deferment info is choice. Thanks.
Over here. ;^)
First ever interview?
Well, when they say Cheney got five deferments, according to the Washington Post, that's what he got: four 2-Ss and then the deferment for the child.
So Kerry got the same damn thing!
While we're waiting....I ordered POISON: The Unauthorized Biography of Kitty Kelley from Amazon ($2.95 + $3.49 s&h) today. The reviews said the author had difficulty tracking down her sordid past, but the dirt included such sleazy stuff as thefts and questionable reasons for leaving multiple colleges.
One of the great actors of our times... Not sure of his politics, but he was wonderful as Robert E. Lee in Gods and Generals and has been outstanding in each and every role sine his early days on "The Outer Limits" and "The Twlight Zone."
Well, Dan Blather has started the smear...
Off topic but can I ask here...this Larry Korb on O'Reilly right now claims Dan Barlett stated Bush agreed to attend Guard calls in Boston and "now changes his story".
As one who has closely followed this story, I have NEVER heard that before.
Korb claims (GET THIS) that Bush "brought this up" on the Today Show recently by saying he was proud of his service and would have gone to Vietnam if he had been called.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bush didn't bring it up, the person asking the question brought it up.
GOD GIVE ME THE STRENGTH.
Of course O'Reilly is more or less clueless and sick of the whole thing. (Pesky facts are too much to keep track of so hope both Kerry and Bush service records should just be left alone).
Sorry for the off-topic.
He says that he recommnended a lot of people during that time.
There were 100's of names of people wanting to get into the ANG or the NG, he says. (Lie)
Great stuff meek one.
Wilson made some fancy coffee table mag. Barnes won't even get pregnant with bigfoot's baby.
It took me a minute. That's funny!
"The short version of the story is that I heard there was an opening in the Guard, and I went and applied," he said. "I was obviously qualified. There were openings for officers, but there weren't openings for enlisted personnel."
Barnes equates going into the National Guard with running away to Canada to escape the draft. I'm done!
Barnes says that Ashe (?), friend of the family, came to see him and asked him to get 43 into the NG.
Hard to keep up with the rats who are coming out in full force with this lame OLD issue. First we had Matthews discuss this crap and now Larry Korb is on with O'Reilly saying GWB made Vietnam an issue when he told Matt Lauer he served admirably. What the hell is he talking about? You simply cannot win with these sickening people who throw all rationale out the window. Will we survive 55 more days of their gutter tactics? Don't know if I can stand to watch more on CBS so I'll just read the thread.
Thanks for the ping.
You are so right.
President Bush cares about people other than himself.
John 'effin Kerry cares about himself, period.
Bush trained in Georgia!
1970, Bush was a celebrity; press release issued in Texas said he was the son of 41.
Barnes was young enough to be in the military during this time. Where's the second-guessing on *his* lack of service?
"How Bush can get out of doing his drill from "now" through November."
CBS has found some "new papers."
Aren't there some freepers who have TV cards that can capture the transcript? Would be nice to post on the thread for everyone.
CBS "expert" doesnt' see anything "discordanant" in the way things were done back then.
Dan Blather needs to find new papers about Kerry. Why is it they don't dig for his like they do Dubya's??? I've used my barf bad about four times already!
Dan Barlett on O'Reilly after Korb says years ago he did misspeak about Harvard and Boston service. He made a mistake, did not "change his story".
Back to Sixty Minutes coverage.
This is pathetic. None of this is anything new.
Don't you like the way all these "new papers" come from a dead man?
Bush flew fighter jets for FOUR years and got an honorable discharge vs Kerry's 4 months in Vietnam and visits w/enemy in Paris?
But you can tell it's serious, by the black background!
What the hell is this? He got people into the Guard? Big deal.
Now Barnes saying how he lost sleep over helping all these young men. Oh yeah, I'm sure he lost sleep all the way to the bank.
OH FGS, It's been a long time since I've tried to sit through a Blather "expose" but this is ridiculous. Does Blather remember where HE was during VIETNAM?
This is the biggest joke!
LV 48-47 Bush
RV 47-47 Tie
Just turned it on. Ben Barnes apologized for doing it.
Look at Dan Rather, acting like he doesn't know this went on.
Do they REALLY want to go into this "getting people special treatment?"
Kerry had quite a few people; how did HE get into the Naval Reserve? How did he get out early????
