He had to hire our retired father to stand in his warehouse with a clipboard to make sure the high school grads put the right orders on the trucks for delivery. They couldn't read or write well enough to do their jobs.

Because literacy classes is just another freebie welfare program paid by taxpayers that's being handed to them --- they don't want it. They have no need in them, if they never learn English --- so what --- they get their housing subsidies, food stamps, free health care and a whole lot more given in Spanish.
