Some memories aren't so short. In 1979 the Iranian people couldn't hate the U.S. enough. Great Satan, Death to America, all that kind of hatred. That bizarre Ayatolloh died, the mullahs are no fun anymore, the situation's hell and now you just love us to pieces.
Did it ever occur to you that even we have limited resources and there's a bunch of us that can remember how well you can hold revolutions when you really to? Those are your children being executed, those are your people standing by, and those would be many of your people cursing American soldiers if any came into your country.
And it's ludicrous to think that e-mailing those publications will help. You've revolted before, you can do again.
I don't think the Persians ever hated the USA --- they got wrapped up in some revolution idea --- they were being used by the mullahs --- as misguided as they were they didn't hate us then or now. One thing I always found interesting --- those guys who would demonstate with brown bags over their heads were actually friendly and fairly open minded in discussing politics, religion and everything. Deep down they don't have the right mentality for being Muslims.
