There ought to be an Investigation (See-BS/DNC memogate)

This is a serious crime, altering military records to not only slander a war-time President, but that also suggest criminal activity. These forged memos suggested serious charges against our President, and should not be taken lightly. Whenever the Democrats suggest the Republicans might have done something wrong, they demand a full-scale congressional investigations. These memos are linked to sources inside the DNC, and it is important to get to the bottom of this. Whomever did this commited a serious crime. Our limp-wristed Representives must grow a backbone and demand that this be thoroughly and quickly investigated. I can guarentee you, Democrats would have.

Does this warrant its own vanity thread, or is there an existing thread on a related topic where this could have appeared as a comment?

Someone also needs to investigate the photos:

Trying to push for a Congressional Investigation can not be buried somewhere in a thread. This is an important idea that Republican leadership needs to run with.

Is it possible that CBS forged these documents?

That's my thoughts exactly. Shouldn't the FBI or the homeland security people. Investigate this fake memo scam ran by See BS. We have been told over and over that the terrorists are going to attempt to influence the election. Doesn't this fall into that category.

From the blurbs I have seen, CBS credits sources inside the DNC.

10 to 1 odds the guy below is the perp who forged the documents. I'll bet he gave them to the DNC, which shopped them to CBS, who then asked for some verification and was refered back to this guy. Otherwise, how did CBS find a "friend and colleague" who ran the TANG admin office so fast?

Robert Strong was a friend and colleague of Killian who ran the Texas Air National Guard administrative office in the Vietnam era. Strong, now a college professor, also believes the documents are genuine. "They are compatible with the way business was done at the time. They are compatible with the man that I remember Jerry Killian being," says Strong. "I don't see anything in the documents that is discordant with what were the times, what was the situation and what were the people involved."

Robert Strong is a possibility, but to me it seems more likely to go inside the DNC deeper.

No doubt. It is very unlikely that one person would have initiated this. There probably were significant parties involved in the Kerry campaign. This is why there really really needs to be a push for an investigation. Besides a congressional investigation will make the DNC look bad and force CBS to back off the lie they are trying to maintain.

I posted this on another thread..

I have a few theories and a LOT of questions, so bear with me and read on.

Questions:
1. Why was the forgery done in such and amaturerish way? Rather than use MS Word with default setting would it have been better to make a reasonable facsimile using equipment and paper from the era? (This stuff is available)

2. Where did the documents come from? A kerry staffer trying to score points? The DNC? (unlikely) Some rabid lefty from a blog or DU? Hillary? (that is kind of a joke)

3. Who put them in Rather's hands? His daughter? A kerry staffer at the direction of kerry himself? DNC?

4. Why the really really bad job of vetting the documents and ignoring what sources they did speak with? Did they not think the widow, son, Hodges and others they spoke with would not speak up? Did they think the records on who retired (Staudt) when would not be checked?

5. Why did Joe, Paul and Snakehead show up when they did? Damage control in general? To keep the originator shut up? Just intimidation? Did they initiate the documents pr are the damage control team in reaction to them?

6. What did they hope to accomplish with this other than the obvious? Test run to see how solid/rabid the base actually is? How long they could perpetrate the lie? Find out how, who and how long it would take to debunk the thing as a test run for a later date, say 08?

7. Is Rather protecting himself or his daughter and from who or what?

8. Why is McAwful still standing behind this?

9. Did this start out as something they thought they could pull off and get out of control? If so why not cut their losses?

10. Is this a case of premature ejaculation? Would this not be better used as a last minute ploy?

11. Is SeeBS really willing to go in the tank for Rather?
12. Who is being protected and why? Is the real truth that kerry saw and authorized or demanded they get released and the DNC is faced the prospect as their standard bearer?

I'm thinking beyond the obvious answers here, those are too easy.

Ok that is some of the questions I have and I will not lay out all the theories at the moment lest you think I am some spy novelist wannabe. There are a few people here that know me and know I am not a conspiracy freak or a total nutcase... mass55th, smartaleck, boomop, please speak up if you could.

There has GOT to be a LOT more going on here and with the insight, talent and fertile minds on this site I'm certain we can come up with a lot of it.

Any takers?
