As soon as they admit any terror related link to any school related entity the cow pies are gonna fly far and fast. This is a situation were the parents, teachers and affiliated staffing had better be able to read between the lines...or they better take a crash course in that.
My advice to all in school systems...have an alternative plan ready to enact in an instant. I suggest (of course my bias shows;) a plan for voluntary homeschool co-ops with both teaching staff and parents getting together in small numbers...block by block if possible in the cities.
The reason cyber charter schools were ever allowed to get off the ground was because of the federal projections (up through 2015) on home education growing exponentially due to terrorism. Cyber charters will be able to handle a drop in the bucket of the potential student body.

What's on the Mind of Radical Islamics in Cyberspace?
On a day when the world's attention is turned to the apparent death by execution of British hostage Kenneth Bigley, I wondered what's been on the mind recently of other radical Islamics. A friend reminded me by drawing my attention to these images.
If these pictures are typical, "jihadi-thought" is not good.

The www.4-sms.com web site is apparently registered to a Nom Milo in Saudi Arabia and it appears to be hosted on servers located in New Jersey.

The site www.b6aa.com is apparently registered to an individual in Kuwait called Bader. It appears to operate on servers based out of Norcross Georgia.
In addition to those listed above, the site http://www.b6aa.com/006 contains a large number of pictures, some innocuous and some pornographic. It and www.4-sms.com appears to act as storage repositories for images (and possible means of communication and encouragement for terrorists).
These pictures should serve to remind us that although at times it doesn't seem so, we are at war. Not with a country, but with a civilization – loosely speaking. As one well known author said, we're in a clash of civilizations.
Check with Kathy in Alaska and see if any of the FR chaplains can perform weddings.

British Hostage Ken Bigley Reportedly Murdered
A video seen by an Arabic television has reportedly shown the beheading of British hostage Ken Bigley.
Asked to comment on the report, Bigley's brother Paul told Reuters in London, "I have heard nothing at all. I have been optimistic and remain optimistic. I am praying this news is not true."
Iraqi Interior Ministry officials in Baghdad, Reuters reported, said they had no information on the report.
A British embassy spokeswoman said she could not confirm the information, Reuters reported.
There was no immediate confirmation of the execution on HostingAnime.com/iraqnews3, a site which has shown most of the horrific beheadings of the last few months.
A comment in English on the otherwise all-Arabic site still reads, "Does a British civilian mean anything to Blair? Will. He try to save this hostage of will he not care?"
However, when videos of prior executions have been posted on this site it has usually been at least 36 to 48 hours after the execution.
But the British Foreign Office is still checking claims of Bigley's murder.
A witness who saw the footage, Sky News reported, said it showed Bigley in an orange jump suit making a statement in front of six militants before he was murdered.
The witness was reportedly a journalist who viewed the tape at the office of a foreign news organization in Baghdad.
Insurgents in the Iraqi city of Fallujah had said they believed Bigley was killed on Thursday in the town of Latifiyah, 22 miles south-west of Baghdad, Sky News reported.
The captive's family had begged Tony Blair to step in and attempt to secure his release.
Bigley, an engineer, was abducted in Baghdad along with fellow construction workers Americans Jack Hensley and Eugene Armstrong three weeks ago.
An Abu Dhabi television news reporter said the video footage cited the U.S. operation in the Latifiyah area and a hope to heap political pressure on Blair as among the reasons for his reported death.
British embassy staff in Thailand, Sky News reported, said they were in "close contact" with his wife, Sombat.
The Tawhid and Jihad terrorist group beheaded the two Americans within a week and their remains were found in the Iraqi capital.
Abu Musab al Zarqawi, one of Washington's most wanted men, is believed to have killed at least one of the two Americans.
The men's kidnappers had initially called for the release of all women prisoners held in US-run prisons, but their demands later appeared to change.
The horrific alert comes just 24 hours after Iraq's interim prime minister, Ayad Allawi, said there were promising behind-the-scenes maneuvers to secure Bigley's release, Sky News reported.
If the report of Bigley's execution is true, he would be the first British captive killed since Coalition forces invaded Iraq in March 2003.
Trade Secretary Patricia Hewitt said the Foreign Secretary Jack Straw and his colleagues at the Foreign Office were doing all they could.
Sky News reported she said, "Our top priority is to find out if the reports are true. We have to do everything possible and hope that they are not confirmed."
Hewitt reiterated to Sky News that the British Government does not negotiate with terrorists.
News 24.com said this is not the first time reports have appeared of Bigley's death. But a previous claim on an internet website that he had been killed was quickly dismissed as unreliable.
The captors appeared to use Bigley as a pawn, News 24 reported, releasing videos of him pleading for his life and criticizing Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Bigley's Irish-born mother Lil, 86, who has been treated at a hospital emergency room several times during the crisis, was at the family home in Liverpool on Friday afternoon, with her other sons, Stan, 65, and Philip, 49, News 24 reported. It was not known where Kenneth Bigley's son, Craig, 33, was.
According to News 24 a policewoman was stationed outside the Bigley house, with TV cameras and reporters waiting for more news in the street.
Scotsman.com reported that a spokesman for the Muslim Council of Britain, which sent a delegation to Iraq last month to try and win Bigley's release said, "We are appalled and profoundly saddened by the cold-blooded murder of Kenneth Bigley after a protracted period of mental torture and anguish. We offer our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family who have gone through the most dreadful experiences. Throughout this terrible ordeal, we have kept close contact with the family."
The Council's general secretary Iqbal Sacranie said, Scotsman.com reported, "There is absolutely no justification for the killing of this defenseless individual. This is a deed which is deeply repugnant and utterly reprehensible. We unequivocally condemn it and hope his murderers are brought to justice quickly."
He added the action was "completely and utterly rejected" by the vast majority of the Muslim community."

Israeli security officials are participating in the investigation into the terror attacks in the Sinai Peninsula, according to sources in Jerusalem. Officially, however, the government has not confirmed that Israeli agents are participating in the probe, primarily because of Egyptian reticence to admit that there is cooperation between the two countries in the field of security.
The initial results of probe suggest that the two car bombs that exploded in the resort of Ras Satan were originally designed to blow up at different Sinai hotels. Egyptian security sources told their Israeli counterparts that the terrorists had planned to blow up three hotels, but that two blew up prematurely.
Investigators probing the Taba bombing say that the vehicle used to carry out the attacks, in all probability a truck, was laden with a huge quantity of explosives. It is still not clear whether the bomb was detonated by remote control, or whether a suicide bomber drove it into the hotel.
Israeli sources say that had received four pieces of intelligence information regarding planned attacks in Sinai. Three of these related to planned attacks by Palestinians, while the fourth indicated that a global Islamic group was planning an attack.

Indeed. I'm on the parent committees of both my childrens' schools (private schools). The parent members were all on the phones this morning discussing the threat and making preparations to discuss security issues at our meeting on Tuesday.

U.S. Opens Base in Northeastern Corner

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - The federal government opened a base Friday where airplanes, helicopters and high-speed boats will set out to intercept terrorists, drug smugglers and illegal immigrants trying to cross the nation's vast northeastern border.
The base in New York's northeastern corner is one of five that will be responsible for tightening surveillance along the U.S.-Canadian border and will cover a heavily wooded stretch from western New York to Maine.
Department of Homeland Security helicopter pilot Dennis Del Grosso said agents are looking for anything from low-flying planes trying to skirt radar to drug runners riding snowmobiles.
"Vehicles, boats and airplanes that carry drugs or illegal immigrants can just as easily carry terrorists or weapons of mass destruction," said Charles Stallworth, director of operations at the base.
Two planes and two helicopters will be based at the new facility, along with some 40 people. Boats will regularly patrol Lake Champlain and other waterways, Homeland Security officials said. Planes also will patrol Lake Ontario and western Lake Erie.
On a demonstration helicopter run Friday, pilots ran a quick, low loop to a stretch of border barely discernible amid an endless expanse of woods. But flying at 580 feet, riders could zero in on individual people golfing or mowing lawns, as well as cars rolling down the highway.
The first such facility opened in August in Bellingham, Wash. Others are tentatively planned for near Detroit; Grand Forks, N.D and Great Falls, Mont.
Stallworth said the five bases, when up and running, will let agents respond within an hour anywhere along the border's more than 4,000 miles.
The northern bases are part of a larger effort by homeland security officials to watch the largely unprotected border more closely after the terrorism of Sept. 11, 2001. The government already relies on periodic patrols by radar-equipped planes from Plattsburgh and other points, but the permanent stations are designed to allow regular surveillance.
Similar air patrols have been conducted along the Mexican border for more than three decades.
