I know NK does not have a Nevada or a Bikini Atoll to do tests at, but doing a test there would be like doing a test in Maryland. Can't be anything good to come out of it.

Ya know...withdrawing our troops at this time may turn out to be an excellent idea....they are much more inviting tactical nuclear targets than they are deterrents...

Let's all give former presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter a big round of applause. They couldn't have done it without you.

URGENT) NK explosion-mushroom cloud A reliable source in Seoul's diplomatic community says Sunday a mushroom cloud with a radius of 3.5 to 4 kilometers was spotted in Kimhyongjik County in North Korea's northernmost inland province of Yanggang on Sept. 9.

Any reports of major seismic activity that indicates a nuclear explosion? This is probably not a nuclear test because they would have done such a test underground with no mushroom cloud produced. Maybe we ran a covert op that just blew up one of their secret labs.

Is this the Korean version of a Palestinian "Work Accident"?

Surface test?

Perhaps wasn't designed to be so. Anybody could have told then that three feet of gravel wouldn't been enough, but they don't listen to anybody.

The explosion in Kim Hyong Jik county blasted a crater big enough to be noticed by a satellite, the source said.

North Korea's northernmost inland province of Yanggang

Think China would be a little perturbed over this?
