It came from just north just like you said. I was out looking already. As soon as I read the time it hits SF and touchdown time I knew I better hurry up.

By the time the second plane hit, the media was already covering it (so many cable viewers watched the 2nd strike live). FR did not scoop the media in that case, it was about even.

Recall the story earlier this year, on the three Japanese "hostages" in Iraq, whose extreme leftist and anti-American backgrounds based on their internet writings (only in Japanese) were put up and analyzed on FreeRepublic less than 24 hours if I recall, after they were kidnapped...and the theory that they were sympathetic to their Islamofascist "captors" all in an effort to force Japan to withdraw from Iraq.....yet the MSM continued to ignore this fact (or even possibility) for days and days on end.. completely ignoring the modus operandi of those "kidnapped" leftists......many of us on FR were fully into that investigative mode, had the story straight, without illusions, and were well out ahead of the liberal, controlled CBS/ABC/NBC media on that one.

Bottom line: we were right.
