Ya know, it's only a matter of time before the liberal press accuses Karl Rove of saddling Kerry with Teresa. After all, she was married to a GOP senator first, so obviously she's a plant to make the DNC look bad. *wink*

OMG!!!
It almost makes one feel sorry for the poor sap that's married to this woman!!

The comment, if stated by Laura Bush would've been headline news all over by now!!!

Unbelievable....that they're still so high in the polls that is!!!

Im just a commoner but let me think a little about this.
Water? Its raining a lot of drinkable water right? Food? Yes but you can go a long time without food. Clothes? Yeah, your wet, your cold. that is an immediate threat. Generators, that may be right up there with clothes.
I dunno. Who the hell is she to decide this stuff?
She is a volunteer for ONE DAY.

In a weird way, I sort of see her point. If I had to send one thing (and could only send that one thing) for the immediate aftermath, it would be water, not clothes. But DUH, we're not limited to one thing, and you have to plan for the day after the day after too! God help us if she's ever in charge of anything. Definately an 'open mouth, insert foot' moment....

As I said on the other post. (Albeit grudgingly). This is a tropical island. The weather will blow over and the sun will come out. Without a safe water supply there is a very real possibility of disease of epidemic proportions. You can only live a couple of days without water. Consider everything contaminated.

Food: again, uncontaminated supplies are needed, but you can go a couple of weeks without.

Electrical power: to get the water purification, communication, refrigeration, medical, and sanitation infrastructure up and running so you don't have to ship as much water, medicine, and food.

It is not uncommon for children in third world tropical climates to go without clothing for much of their childhood. People have survived years without much clothing at this lattitude. It really has little to do with sensibilities, and much to do with essentials.

I'm no troll, and definitely no newbie. Only to be more fair to one of them than they would be to one of us, and to give credit where credit is due, I think she has her priorities pretty close.

After all, she is not from Nob Hill, but Mozambique. Even the priveleged in Africa know famine and disease.

GO naked so they can be bitten by flies, mosquitos? Or is that She and her Husband take joy in naked children?

And in other news, John Kerry's campaign cinched up the Pedophile Vote later this evening...

1 - ""Water is necessary, and then generators, and then food, and then clothes."

Makes perfect sense to me, for September in the Caribbean.

No electric, no water, no food preservation. Temp's in the 90's.

Good sense.
