Pukin Dog, your manifesto is spot-on! I believe that the Founding Fathers are smiling from above that FReepers have found a way to keep adequate checks and balances in our society.

Congressman Billybob - thanks for all you do, and thanks for posting this.

Pat Caddell and Zell Miller are some of the last remnants of a special breed of DemoRats, they are intellectually honest. A geniune rarity these days! They know a sinking ship when they see it and don't buy into the "everything is all right, remain calm" mantra spouted by the DNC in spite of all evidence to the contrary. I'm more than curious and would appreciate any other opinion on a simple question. How many more elections are the DemoRats going to have to lose before they figure out that their lefty wing and leadership is leading them down the road to oblivion?

Intellectually honest DemoRats are such an endangered species that you could probably take all of them to lunch at BK and have a tab of less than a hundred bucks. The rest are of the Kool-Aid drinking variety, blindly following their leadership's instructions to jump off the cliff for the greater glory of the party. History is not kind to losers, particularly not stupid losers?

I would expect an all out assault on FR in the days right before the election. I would not put it past some folks to try and launch some coordinated network attacks, or attempt to mess with DNS information, in an attempt to futz up access to FR.

I hope that there are plans for tactical mirrors, alternative dns paths, etc.

The thought that FR might be down during October or the election gives me the shakes.... This is MY news-source.

To: Revolting cat!

Every really worthwhile revolution begins with the rebels in the reactive mode? Beware of a "revolution" that get off to a highly successful start and wins quickly - that's not a revolution, it's a coup de' etat. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss?

The cause is worthy and the tide is certainly shifting, hang in there. The MSM will eventually figure out that nobody is listening to them anymore!

Sept 19, 2004

Ms. Sue Schwartz
WGCL-TV : CBS Atlanta
FAX #: 404-327-3004

Dear Ms. Schwartz:

It is now readily apparent that CBS management is willing to bet the entire reputation of CBS News in order to cover their lies regarding the Sixty Minutes smear job on President Bush. They have a losing hand, yet they continue to up the bet. This is incredible behavior from what was once a respected news organization, and is now the butt of jokes from every corner.

As for now, they are within their rights to defend this story, and so far there is no criminal investigation into what happened. An attempt to influence a federal campaign using forged documents, then being unwilling to go along with obvious proof as to the falseness of the documents and set the record straight, is most likely illegal. They should come clean now before they are forced to do so.

Your local station has a responsibility to act in this matter, you have broadcast these lies and it is your duty to either inform your listeners that your Atlanta affiliate is not willing to die on this hill, or to convince CBS management that they must come clean with the American public.

Action to correct this situation is the only way to reclaim part of CBS' reputation and start rebuilding. Unless you plan on marketing only to partisans who will stoop to ever lower levels to discredit people that they do not agree with politically. This is a small angry group and I think that especially here in Atlanta, you need regular Georgians to watch your programming if you are to succeed in your own objectives.

Please make sure that CBS management realizes that you, as an affiliate in a fair-minded state, do not accept their stonewalling.

Sincerely,
Rob

Per favore, signore. Pukin Dog--is it pronounced pyoo'-kin, poo'-kin, or something else? Just in case we have to say it in a non-electronic forum. And I believe we will.

The real question is that even if they figure out it, what can they do about it? If they do throw the Michael Moore Dean left overboard, that automatically relegates them to minority status for decades to come.

I don't think straight-shooter Democrats are all that rare. I think they are painfully aware of the situation but that they haven't figured out a way to resolve their dilemma that won't land them in a political Siberia for 30 years.

Or maybe they do want to go ahead and bite the bullet but the party's win-at-all-costs movers and shakers are having none of it.
