"Crystal Meth" New Drug Of Choice On Gay Party Circuit
NARTH ^ | August 31, 2004

Posted on 09/16/2004 12:22:46 PM PDT by Laissez-faire capitalist

A longtime member of the New York Gay Men's Chorus, Bobby Darnell, nearly became a casualty of the crystal methamphetamine drug scene...

Darnell began using crystal meth in casual sexual encounters and began searching the Internet for sexual liaisons. References on the Internet to "PNP" parties (shorthand for "party and play" - meaning sex and drugs) helps drug-addicted gay men find sex parties. Darnell was eventually hospitalized for his growing addicytion but later stopped using the drug.

The use of crystal meth to enhance sexual experiences has spread rapidly among gay parties---especially during the past three to four years.

A March, 2004 edition of the Atlanta Journal Constitution provides more details on the spread of crystal methamphetamine use among gays. The drug has increased HIV-infection among homosexual men.

After having had a colonoscopy, I'd say that one would HAVE to be on drugs to be into gay sex. Yeesh.

No surprise here. Like most who participate in behavior that ultimately produces self-loathing, they need an escape from the reality they have created...IMO.

The old fashioned intermingling of semen, blood and feces between two men just doesn't have the same OOMPH anymore, I guess. Needs a little turbo boost. LOL!

This drug does very serious permanent brain damage, in a short time. Makes alcohol, marijuana, cocaine seem like beginner's stuff.

Tweakin fairies are to be worried about, for sure.

That's like girls using 'ecstasy' during casual sex at parties.
Supposedly 'ecstasy' prolongs orgasms.

Dunno what Meth would do, haven't heard any rumors or hearsay about meth use during sex.

Imagine having to get a colonoscopy in a San Francisco clinic, where there would be a good likelyhood the one rendering the procedure might be a gay man on chrystal meth.

Scary thought...eh?

I seem to recall that some years ago homosexual men used "poppers" to "enhance" their encounters.

Meth seems like the same idea but with a longer lasting effect.

Yuck.

I love how a drug that's been around "for the past three to four years" is "the new party drug of choice." A 2000 Dodge Dakota is still a four-year-old vehicle, whether I've ever seen one before or not.

By the way, crystal meth's been around a lot longer than three or four years.

This is news? I was going to raves (underground dance parties) in 1994 and meth was huge even then... it's been big since the 1980s. I remember seeing all sorts of people who had been sniffing all kinds of powders up their noses. I think I was the only drug-free person at some of those parties... well as drug free as you can be with a water bottle filled with vodka!

I'm with you, this stuff has been around for a while. It's a huge problem in some rural areas where they steal anhydrous ammonia to make the stuff. It's really a horrible, highly addictive drug.

Regardless of how long Crystal Queens have been around, Crystal Meth use has INCREASED among gays in the past three or four years. Just read the article at the Atlanta Journal Constitution(Click on source URL)to see for yourself. Hence, one of the reasons for posting this article.

After MY colonoscopy, I realized why homosexual "culture" is so entwined with the infliction of pain and with the sissy mentality. It's a form of statutory rape, IMHO.

More physical damage than brain damage, I would think. Not really a psychoactive drug. It's speed. It increases your heart rate something fierce. Makes you want to stay up all night and party. You can drink gallons of beer, and not even think of sleeping. Any mental effect would come from plain ol' lack of sleep.

It's kind of like nicotine, in that it's so addictive because there's no hallucinations and "seems benign". Then they wake up 10 yrs down the road looking 30 yrs older and wondering why their life is a shambles. Saw it happen to a couple friends, many years ago.

*shrugs*
Some people will do anything for a 'new' kick or 'new' experience or 'better' then what they already know.
Some people will try it so that they don't have to fake it anymore.
Don't laugh, heard that as a reason from a neighbor's daughter.
She was sitting there, underage, beer in hand, talking like a trucker and explaining why she did ecstasy before 'the act'.

Shocked me to no end.
And her parents didn't seem to care one bit.

But, even after she said that, I still don't 'know' any more about the 'why' of it than I did before she said it.

I wonder how many of the AP writers and other left wing haters of GW, who write for the MSM suffer from Crystal Meth usage. Maybe the use of Crystal Meth is what makes them so insane re their hatred of GW.

No. I understand that and why you posted the article. But the gay community has know about this addiction for a long time. A gay acquaintance of mine would tell stories of crystal parties and 'queens' from over five years ago in Chicgao. Even the lib-lovefest show Queer As Folk did a storyline about a character who became a crystal queen.

As silly as it sounds, it is a subculture within the gay culture, just as 'conversion' parties are, where gay men have sex with several HIV positive men in hopes of actually contracting the disease. I am not making this up.

Had a woman in line ahead of me in the drugstore last weeken who was trying to buy 10 bottles of cold medicine. They told her she could buy 2 and she was irate. Came up with some story of buying it for several families with sick kids. I have the same bottle for about 10 years. When she left PO'd, I said to the clerk "meth" and she said "Yep".
The woman looked like the 98 picture above. Soon, she'll look like the 2002 picture.

Don't think it prolongs orgasm. Just cranks up the sex drive and makes you to keep going. Tweakers tend to get fixated on things.
