Saturdays are great for protesting.
I seem to remember lots of Saturday freeps during Fla2000.
I'd go to one in Phoenix if someone can organize it.

I can e-mail them.
Isn't KTSA CBS News too? Rather used to do a promo in the morning. After his 2nd Saddamn interview, I e-mailed Ricci Ware and asked if they were trying to piss off their conservative listeners by airing that POS! Don't listened to them in the morning now, so I don't know if Rather is still on.

Isn't KTSA CBS News too? KTSA is a part of Infinity Broadcasting, a subsidary of Viacom, which is also the parent company of CBS.
FWIW, I haven't listened to them in a long time, as they seem to have turned into one big infomercial.

I hate when my computer hiccups.
Anyway, if anyone is planning on showing up at KENS besides me, I'll be the one in the blue pajamas and bunny slippers.
Trying to think what my sign should say. Open to suggestions

Before you start your protest, make sure you contact the local paper AND KENS-TV's competitors, KSAT (the ABC station), and WOAI, the NBC affiliate. KENS will try to ignore the controversy, but its competition will love to get a little dig at their rival. When you call KSAT and WOAI, ask for the assignment editor; that's the person who assigns reporters/crews to stories. At the newspaper, ask for the metro editor; he/she fills the same function as a TV assignment editor. I'll be greatly surprised if they don't bite on this one...BTW, there have been conservatives at KENS in the past; Henry Bonilla, the Republican Congressman from Texas, was once a news executive at Channel 5, and Chris Marou, the primary anchor at KENS-TV, has been a contributor to Bonilla's campaign..

since Dan Rather has a house in Austin, why not do a road trip to his home (ala Rumsfeld) and demonstrate.

Isn't KTSA CBS News too? Yes...and they must have really hacked off someone. They had a bomb threat yesterday morning...someone left a napsack in front of the studio and called the threat in, from what I heard. Turned out it was full of bananas, LOL!

Chris Marrou, of KENS, is one of the finest news braodcasters in the world. For years he has criticized the MSM as being biased, specifically Dan Rather. We(San Antonio) are lucky to have him.
I support the protest. Do be careful with that paint brush though.

Tuesday(the day before the Fall) sounds like a great day to FReep CBS. Anyone up for it?
Our local affiliate is on Metric, about a block and a half south of Braker. How about Tuesday 11:30-12:30?
Who's game?

I can probably do this. Also--we can always freep Blather's house here in Lakeway. Let's talk about it at the Freeper picnic Sunday.

YES! Be sure to notify the competition in SA. Don't forget KWEX (the Univision Affiliate) on your "media advisory list"...and that conservative guy (forget name) who does the talk show on WOAI from 3-6 weekdays.
Sign suggestion: "CBS Evening News with Dan Rather...based on a true story."

San Antonio Freepers: Dan Rather tell the Truth
Call me sadistic, but...
I hope Dan and CBS "News" stonewall for months.
I want to see a beautiful "death of a thousand cuts" for these liars and cheats.
And the general populace to realize how much this same cancer of mendacity has
spread to the other networks.

Nobody showed. And I am just not brave enough to stand next to Fredericksburg Road during the lunch hour wearing pinstriped jammies, and bunny slippers.
I hung around for about 20 minutes, and then left.
