Report: Mexico is al-Qaida route to U.S.
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | Friday, September 17, 2004

Posted on 09/17/2004 1:18:13 AM PDT by JohnHuang2

Al-Qaida plans to use Mexico as a key infiltration route for sending operatives into the United States, according to a Mexican newspaper.

Mexican intelligence agencies have identified at least two routes for al-Qaida infiltration, the Proceso newspaper reported last week.

The infiltration plan calls for terrorists to depart South Africa for London and then take a non-stop flight to Mexico or a Central American nation and from there use migrant smuggling routes to reach northern Mexico and the United States.

Two of three suspected al-Qaida terrorists recently arrested in England and Pakistan had passed through Mexico with South African passports.

Another suspect, a Saudi national, is being sought in northeastern Mexico after traveling through Panama, Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala.

Adnan Shukrijumah is a key al-Qaida figure in North America. He was tracked to Sonora, Mexico, in August and is being sought by the FBI.

This was inevitable, considering the state of our borders. Kerry has something sensible to talk about.

Well......DUH!

This is one of the reasons I'll hold my nose as I push the touch-screen button for Bush in November. His stance on Mexican (illegal) immigration and the pi$$-poor southern border security issue is almost as dangerous as sKerry's communist ideology.

"Mexican intelligence agencies have identified at least two routes for al-Qaida infiltration"

Maybe out of their kind hearts they'll call DHS to let Asa know?

Thanks for posting this, John.

The Hispanderers in Washington, DC are going to regret leaving our southern border unprotected. Unfortunately.

Link to a related article. I hope President Bush and Karl Rove can take 30 minutes and read the latest cover story from Time Magazine.

They busted a bunch of "Americans" that work for ranch rescue yesterday for "threatening the border patrol".....FBI shot one of em. Justified or not. MSM and goobermint working to keep the borders safe for illegals to cross is BS. RR has been destroying the caches of supplies left on their property by those aiding an abetting the enemy, RR has been harrassed , sued and arressted for detaining ,for their own protection , tresspassers on their own property until BP or LEO's responded.

I'm confused as to property owners and their employees being policed better that the borders ?? Easier to do I guess.

Stay Safe

This is a no brainer. Thats why many of us have said the fedgov.org is not serious about fighting terrorism and wont be till they work to seal the borders and deport illegals. Everything else is a joke especially the huge money sucking boondoggle called homeland defense. If that isnt a commie name nothing is.

You're right. And *something's* coming to a fever-pitch, boiling-point, sooner rather than later, I'm guessing. The border states are being overrun and a massive terrorist hit, is waiting in the wings, I'm afraid, from all the MEs coming through.

It's going to get ugly and bloody, all too soon enough. watch your back...

Bush has been pretty lax about the borders. I know Kerry doesn't want to offend the Hispanic voters either. Thousands of terrrists have probably slipped in already. I would feel much more secure if we had several hundred thousand troops on our borders.

You're welcome, A.F. I'm not so sure they're going to be reelected. If they closed the borders, eliminated undesirable immigration, curtailed our kowtowing to the Saudis, and destroyed Iran's nuclear facilities before the election, they might have a chance.

The open border is one of Bush's last remaining vulnerabilities, which could result in him losing the election.

If AQ terrorists came over the open border and pulled a Beslan, it would be blamed 100% on Bush and his open border policy. And for once, the media would be right.

(Not that Gore would have done any better, that's not the point. The 'rat media would crucify Bush for "sending the military to Iraq, and leaving the border wide open."

I don't see the current administration acting against Iran before the election, but I concur the election will probably be a difficult fight - ain't it always the case when something is important and worth fighting for ?

I really do hope the Republicans will stay in power. As opposed to our media, I fail to see the point in making friends with guy A when it's President B you have a conflict with and thus need to mend fences with.

The way I see it, A Democrat election would really be the end of the Western alliance.

I firmly believe that, should a major terrorist attack happen inside the US and the perps entered illegally over the north or south border, the sitting President, whether Kerry or Bush, will be impeached at the insistence of the American people. And most of Congress will be replaced by the American people.

The politicians still are asleep or are too busy with their under-the-table placating and pandering and business dealings. But I believe the American people are more aware than the politicians know and Americans will clean house of the elected.

That said, GWB is walking a thin line by not putting more border controls in place. It will be HIS failing if the next major terrorist attack happens by illegals slipping in.

Al Qaida must be like a football team on offense just noticing, that while the defensive line are the biggest mothers they've ever seen, both safeties are parapalegic.

We are all being put at risk for the sake of the almighty dollar. close the borders now.

There is such a thing as issue by issue "loyal opposition." I have come to respect President Bush a great deal. But we need to make sure we're heard on this issue, even if we support 9 out of 10 of his other policies. First we are Americans. Our first loyalty should be for America. The Founding Fathers never expected us to trust any leader blindly.

Those are very democratic sentiments, A.F. Few Democrats in America realize the truth to which you refer. There are millions of Americans who support President Bush. Electing a Kerry or a Dean would not reconcile their frustrations. We need to reconcile as much as we can, but not at the expense of the people.

Very well put, A.F!

We're prolly no more than fifteen years away from a foodfight of historic proportions in the US. And the way it's been so blatantly orchestrated, you have to believe somebody somewhere wanted to engineer nothing less than the complete destruction of the American middle class. Can't have an educated, wealthy, armed middle class, when ignorant defenseless skeletons are so much more compliant.

Sadly, if such an act would occur, I don't expect the government to disclose how the terrorists entered through the Southern border or the media to even report it. Thus, the more money, power and erosion of liberties will be perpetrated against American citizens in airports, government buildings and public areas.

*plans* to use our southern borders ????>>>>>>>>>

Seems to me our NON secure southern border has been used for years for any & all to sneak into the USA.

Here's an *interesting* link from tiny Athens, TX.(abt. 5-6 hundred miles from the border)......(naturally I haven't seen any more follow ups on this story) Wonder WHY one Qamar Abbas Syed was driving around East TX with Wisconsin license plates & *multiple* ID's ???.

http://www.athensreview.com/articles/2004/09/08/news/news15.txt

(snip)
"The multiple identifications raised suspicion with the officer, who then asked the dispatcher to contact the FBI office in Tyler. Agents with the FBI conferred with the Department of Homeland Security, which in turn identified the individual as someone they wanted to question."
