"Now, now, my son is/was a chef, and he started wearing clogs after a while. The kitchen floors get so messy that it just trashes your shoes, and you don't want to put that crap in your car. The clogs are just easy to slip in and out of, and you can just hose them off at the end of the night..."At least tell me your son's clogs weren't "open-toed" :-D

What if the waiter doesn't want to wear it?

I've never been there, but figured that anyplace with the word "Gay" in its name would automatically be a hangout for the "torch song set."

I unwittingly had a dinner at one of his restaurnats. Won't make that mistake again. However, I think the "President Cheney?" slogan is not calling for Bush's death, but is rather a mocking statement by the left that Bush is merely an ignorant puppet and Cheney is actually calling the shots.

I'll never buy another one of his books. Fat pig. Too late. He's got your money.

If he feels his restaurants is so terrific that losing 1/8 (I say 1/8 because it's New York) of his clientelle is no big deal, then good luck to him.Nine out of ten NYC restaurants fail within months of opening. He cannot afford to lose even 1/8th of his clientele. This is one of those rare cases where a boycott would actually work.

On the other hand, Pete's diner is 100% behind Bush and I'll bet there's lots more Pete's diners around than Babbos!

I guess I could destroy the ones I have. But that would hurt me and not him. Nupe . . . I think I'll stick to not buying any more of them! :-)

I predicted to my wife and son 3 years ago that this POS would be dead of a heart attack within 5 years. I've got two to go.

"I watch Food Network fairly often, but I never did like
that Fat windbag with his pretty red shoes!"
My sentiments exactly. It occurred to me the larda$$ is probably Michael Moores cousin.......imagine all that sweat he exudes in your din din? (Do viewers really need to know how some obscure villiage on a mountain top of Italy boils water?)
and.......yes, what the he%% is up with those shoes? Aren't the same hippy-friend-of-the-earth-garden- shoes Martha Stewart wears?

Okay...as a Food Network (and Fox News) junkie I was suprised to learn a while back that Mario is married (I ASSUME to a woman) and has a couple kids. Most of his "Italy travel shows" are with his brother.
I was disappointed to read about his "politics" on this thread but agree with those who are promoting freedom of speech majority. He has a right to believe what he believes and promote it in his own business. I won't go to his restuarant...but unless he plugs his views on Food Network...why boycott them or have him canned???? Just promote boycotting his restaurant where he's spewing this stuff!
That being said...if he does promote his agenda on Food Network...yes...it's time to boycott...but until then...heck he's entitled to his opinion.
My own...having to find a way to live with my two diehard 80 year old dem parents!!!! (YIKES!)
kirstinn...as always thanks for all the DC freeps....You all are the best!!!

Aren't you assuming he wouldn't rather strap on his equipment?
