For over 30 years...Vietnam Veterans..(and let's be honest here...EVERY veteran is included in John Kerrys statements..as Viet Vets were TRAINED by Korean Veterans...by WWII Veterans..so they are implicated too.) have had a 900 pound gorilla on their backs. They have had the "Scarlet Letter" squarely placed on their foreheads...telling the world that they (in the world of John Kerry) are "..killers and rapists."
For the entire time we have had to live with the knowledge in our hearts that when we said we served in Vietnam...in the backs of peoples minds sprang the word..."babykiller...or rapist."
True, John Kerry did NOT start the movement that painted us as evil, but he did give it a solid base...he did make it a very real thing in some peoples minds.
More than anyone alive today...he made it legitimate to call us those things.
As he is quick to tell you (I can imagine him telling every waiter he finds)..he did serve in Vietnam...and for four long months at that. To the world at large him saying those things about us...made it real.Made it something that those who hate America could run with.
For over 30 years we have had to take the blows...the hits. And we have been hit time and time again. It is now a T.V. and Movie standard that we are all mental defectives...who spent our time in the military roasting small children...just for the fun of it. It is now a cultural standard that,somehow, all of those of us who served in Vietnam....became unhinged and just became plain killers.
But now....(Yippie!!)John Kerry is running for President.
Now John Kerry has placed, and continues to place, his hopes of becoming President on those four long months in Vietnam. He's a "Hero" don't ya know????
But, as is evidenced by the "Swift Boat" ads....it is now our time to fight back.
It is now our time to remember all of those times when we were spit on...or had blood thrown on the uniforms that we proudly wore....and give it back.
Now it is our time to hit back.
We're all older now, those who served in Vietnam, with gray or white hair in place of the blond or brown.
With bodies that are starting to find more than a few reasons NOT to go on that long hike in the mountains.
Some of us (and in this area I would have to include myself) are terrified of re-visiting those times. Afraid of the demons that we no longer feel strong enough to withstand.
..and yet...we have one more 'tour of duty'.(Thanks Tonk!!)
One more time we have to put on the uniform of our Nation and fight for what we believe in...for our families...for our Country.
...and we will KNOW when we have achieved Victory.
We will know when we have re-claimed that Honour that was denied us.
We will know when the 'Scarlet Letter' is removed from our foreheads.
That day will be when we see John Kerry lose this election...when we view him behind the podium for one last time...admitting defeat.
For on that day all that he has said and done will be plainly revealed (even to the idiot liberals) that all he as said and done was a lie.
Time to hit back.
Only a few more weeks on this 'tour of duty'.

I have been trying for 15 minutes to type something that doesn't disevolve into physical violence. JFK must be utterly destroyed at the ballot box. His vanity is his greatest treasure and thats what I want to see destroyed. I have believed that destroying a persons ego was just one step up from the ultimate. I am willing to make an exception for JFK. JFK is responsable for disgracing millions of young men with his egodriven charges. Gotta go.

Even though I didn't like the way the politicians handled the Viet Nam war, I never considered anyone who served over there as deserving of a Scarlet Letter.
You who served were my friends, my classmates, my neighbors, you were the people I shared my childhood with.

Yeah, but unforetunately as human nature goes, there are a few vetrans that for whatever reasons believe sKerry and follow him like sheeple.
Lets dedicate this election to the fallen, tortured & MIA caused by Kerry and his fellow communist cronies that cost this great country the victory in Vietnam, and the scorn & burdens that our soldiers had to bear because his ilk made them out to be BabyKillers etc.
Kerry must be made to pay & pay dearly at the polls on election day.

I never for a moment bought in to the myth of the "baby-killing, dishonorable Viet Nam Vet".
I served with these men during my '75-'80 stint in the Navy.
Former PBR and Swift Boat crewmen, Hospital Corpsmen, NGFS spotters, SeaBees, Naval Aviators, Marines, former Army troops who had crossed over to the Navy, and those whose ships stood offshore in the Tonkin Gulf to support them.
Honorable and dedicated men, all.
As an R.N. at our local V.A hospital, I've treated the sequelae of their wounds, both physical and psychological.
They did not ask to go to war, they went because their country called upon them to do their duty. They didn't burn their draft cards or run away to Canada, and they sure as hell didn't serve an abbreviated tour, only to come back to their homes and straight away start trashing the comrades they left behind for doing their duty.
Today, I count these same men as some of my best and most loyal friends.
John Kerry, you would have to stand on your mother's shoulders just to kiss the ass of these fine fellows.

Another tour....since when did our Vietnam Vets take time off? They're on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan, and around the world - helping the younger troops, fighting for our freedom again - standing up to John Kerry, the mainstream press - teaching kids - young and 'old.' Inspiring.
You know when victory will be for me? When our Veterans accept our forgiveness - are healed and strengthened, and filled with joy - which I suspect will be after John Kerry loses. Victory, indeed.
Your suffering was not in vain!

1. Most of them are not Vietnam Vets.
2. Most of them are hardcore union activists.
3. None of them want to talk facts. I know you're saying, "Well duh, Silverback, they're liberals, of course they don't want to talk facts," but I mean this in a different way. I don't mean that they make up, spin or overexaggerate the importance of certain facts like other liberal activists. I mean that if you take out a sheet with John Kerry's "Meet The Press" admission of war crimes or his Senate testimony and say, "Well, let me read you what he said," they shout, scream in your face, shake their hand at you and walk away, question whether you're a real man because you weren't in combat when you served, scream that you don't get to talk about it because you weren't born yet, ANYTHING to avoid hearing or talking about Kerry's anti-war activities. When they tried the "You weren't there" tack on myself and another guy in his thirties, a comrade who served in Vietnam stepped up and said, "I served in the Vietnam War. Talk to me." Suddenly, the conversation was over, and the Dems made excuses about how "useless" we were and retreated into their HQ.
In their hearts they know their guy committed treason, and they don't care. But that's OK, 'cause we're going to make them pay for their slimy behavior, choosing their party over the country they once defended.
Remember, Veteran's Day is on November 2nd this year.
