I wonder how the Aussies feel about Ms. Peters, now, with their armed crime rate skyrocketing?

Rebecca Peters is a complete psychopath. She used to share accomodation with an old acquaintance of mine, when they were at uni. You know how sometimes budget-conscious students will label their food containers, in a shared refrigerator- 'Terri's milk', for instance? Peters would label *every egg* in a carton. She had everyone in the place creeped out, with her obsessive ways. If Wayne could somehow find the right button to push, she could fall apart under pressure just like Captain Queeg.

This thread has just added to the FreeRepublic "bang list" (firearms interest list) by adding the keyword "banglist".

Any time a firearms-related thread is created on FreeRepublic, please be sure to add the "banglist" keyword to it so that interested FReepers don't miss it.

Who cares?

Until we have a spokesman that understands the Second Amendment, I don't participate.
A Gun/Weapon is a tool and should be treated as a Hammer or a Saw and my Right to own the Hammer or the Saw of my choice will not be Infringed, Hunting is just another use of the tool.
If I need the tool to protect myself, I would be using it for it's primary purpose (what it was designed to do) LaPierre is a Hunter and Hunters Rights are important too, but Hunters Rights are not protected under the Second Amendment, MY RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS is. If there is a disagreement with my Government, I am prepared to make my case, in Court or out of Court, there is NO gray area.

P.S. The NRA is an Appeasement Group that is willing to Trade to Whittle away at the Second Amendment, I stopped Donating when Wayne started down this despicable path.

You are dead-on FRiend. He caved for the 10-round magazine restriction, he caved on back-ground checks, and the NRA has caved on machine guns in the past.

This debate couldn't find a free venue?

Or is it all just about the $$$$$ ?

Do IANSA and NRA share the profit from this PPV ?

In such a situation, how can we believe either side's true committment to the cause?
Seems to me, maybe the real committment is to making $more money$..

I can understand your views and position....but I say! Who is there but the "Hunting" advocate to ensure we have a "TOOL" (firearm) at all? If it were not for the "Hunter" there would be no voice, no tool, no freedom of choice (to own a firearm or not). Nothing is perfect no matter how hard we try. But, the bottom line is if the world community can take away your firearm......the rest of the choices will be theres.

I will not allow the Second Amendment to be changed by proxy, the gun grabbers will have to change or delete it and it is a fight that they know that they cannot win, which is why they will continue their incremental tactics.
If we are forceful in the defense of the Second Amendment they have no other option than to come out in the open and battle for their position Honestly.

Byron, you really should e-mail that info to LaPierre. Peters would be seriously unnerved to find that Wayne had that kind of personal info on her.

Anti-gunners are clearly wrong in their pursuit. The lie and decieve the public using fear that they create in the media. The reason that the debate costs money was probably because only Pro-gun people would pay to watch it because their rights are on the line. Anti-gunners could watch Wayne rip Laura's comments to shreds and smoke her debate and they don't care one way or the other. They are antigun for a reason. Most of them are unjustified reasons but they stand by them all the same.

I'm trying to track down a previous thread from 10/14/04 (I think) titled something like "The UN and Your Guns." I can't find it using keyword title search, would appreciate if anyone could point me to it.
