The RNC needs to put up a couple of billboards and run some radio reminding people that it is a felony to vote in tow places in the same election.
I read on another thread sometime back that the election officials in FL don't have access to voter rolls in NY or any other state so they have no way to know if a voter is registered to vote in two states.
BTTT this needs to be on everyone's radar. American soldiers and sailors, and the right wing, can do this too. And SHOULD. PLEASE WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE--they're trying to steal Florida AGAIN!
They are claiming that even asking for a photo ID will 'disenfranchise' voters. (not enough they already count DEM votes from the cemetary)
With debate over the 2000 election still raging, thousands of people illegally register in both New York City and Florida, which could swing an election.
Some 46,000 New Yorkers are registered to vote in both the city and Florida, a shocking finding that exposes both states to potential abuses that could alter the outcome of elections, a Daily News investigation shows. Registering in two places is illegal in both states, but the massive snowbird scandal goes undetected because election officials don't check rolls across state lines.
NOTE: None of the county boards of elections in NYS (let alone other states) that I have contacted have been asked to cooperate in scrubbing voter roles.
Unfortunately what's suggested by Operation Snowbird isn't at all illegal. The election laws as detailed on http://www.fec.gov are idiotically vague and open. It pretty much boils down to "if a state agrees to let you vote there and you only do it in one state, it's okay." There's a lot of holes and vagueness that needs fixin in the election system.
