His koolaid drinkers should be pissed at him. He raised their hopes, yet with each passing day, it becomes more evident that he cannot deliver the president's loss this November.

Wow, I did'nt realize the DIMS were in such dire straights. To have Michael Moore to have to give everyone a pep talk. The thing is that Dems live polls and foucus groups. To tell the Dem rank and file not to pay attention to them is ridiculous. The Dems are twisting in the wind and will face a slow and agonizing defeat.

>>"WAKE UP! The majority are with us! More than half of all Americans are pro-choice, want stronger environmental laws, are appalled that assault weapons are back on the street -- and 54% now believe the war is wrong."

How does this statement square with "The polls are wrong."?
Methinks MM is off his meds again.

Another small point is that MM was touting himself as an "independent" when his movie was out, but his narrative paints him clearly in the democratic/liberal camp.

He's also counting on students carrying cell phones as his hidden majority. Dude, election day is on a Tuesday. That's Nickel Beer Night at the V-Bell. When can a fella fit voting in on that schedule?

Look at us -- what a bunch of crybabies. Bush gets a bounce after his convention and you would have thought the Germans had run through Poland again. The Bushies are coming, the Bushies are coming! Yes, they caught Kerry asleep on the Swift Boat thing. Yes, they found the frequency in Dan Rather and ran with it. Suddenly it's like, "THE END IS NEAR! THE SKY IS FALLING!"

Just wondering, is there any validity at all to his points about the polls regarding "likely" voters, cell phones, and Republican overweighting? Have these points been debunked by credible analysts? By default, I am of course applying a .00000000001% probability rating to these theories, given that the Blob is so anxious to glom onto them.

Absolutely, just what we would need in charge of America at such a critical juncture, a bunch of whining wimps that can't wait to run up the white flag. I bet Saddam is really regretting not washing a few million of his Oil For Food bribes through American banks and into Gore's campaign! He might well still be thumbing his nose at America today if he'd just kicked in a few million bucks?

I know, that's a bit over the top. But, the basic question is still valid, who would Osama rather see elected in November?

Wearing my Level 4 Biohazard suit, I went over to Moore's website to check out his damp hysterics firsthand. There's a lot to like - it's all the usual bluster and lies. This is good:

Traveling around the country, as I've been doing, I gotta tell ya, there is a hell of a lot of unrest out there.

Especially among the livestock when Moore gets too close.

Only 30% of the country calls itself "Republican," yet the Republicans own it all -- the White House, both houses of Congress, the Supreme Court and the majority of the governorships. How do you think they've been able to pull that off considering they are a minority? It's because they eat you and me and every other liberal for breakfast and then spend the rest of the day wreaking havoc on the planet.

One entry found for delusion.

Main Entry: de·lu·sion
Pronunciation: di-'lü-zh&n, dE-
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Late Latin delusion-, delusio, from deludere
1 a : the act of deluding : the state of being deluded b : an abnormal mental state characterized by the occurrence of psychotic delusions
2 a : something that is falsely or delusively believed or propagated b : a persistent false psychotic belief regarding the self or persons or objects outside the self
- de·lu·sion·al /-'lüzh-n&l, -'lü-zh&-n&l/ adjective
- de·lu·sion·ary /-zh&-"ner-E/ adjective

Thanks, Michael, for the enjoyable read. Did you intend that to pep up your side or ours? Either way, it's pleasant to know that such writing is born only of the severest desperation.

And check this out. Moore pleads to his comrades:

"Instead of the wailing and gnashing of your teeth, why not hold out a hand to [Kerry] and help the inner soldier/protester come out and defeat the forces of evil we now so desperately face."

Well, which is it? Soldier or protester?

And does this not capture Kerry's fundamental flaw perfectly?

When you feel forced to use the "/" symbol when referring to your candidate, you know you've got an ambiguous flip-flopper on your hands. Kerry did/didn't vote for the Iraq war. Kerry loves/hates the Israeli wall. Kerry will run a war on terror that is crushing/sensitive. Etc, etc...

Moore can afford to cheerlead. He lives in one of the squeakiest, most whitebread communities in the country. He believes that he's one of those who will be exempt from the destruction his people want to rain down on the "wealthiest 1%". Guess what? He's one of them!!

Ever hear of Torch Lake? It's a super hot property in northern Michigan. It's where all of the auto executives - yes, the very people he made his money skewering - go to get away from the city and everything that goes with it.

He shops in Elk Rapids, where "rustic" armchairs sell for nearly $1,000. He's living the good life, folks, while pretending to be a man of the people.

How do I know this? My wife's family lives up there, and they've seen him shopping, and loading furniture into YES!! a gas-guzzling van!!

Moore is an opportunist and a hypocrite. He's a class clown who happened to get just enough out of film 101 to be dangerous. Anyone with any experience in production methods can see his manipulative and heavy-handed techniques for playing on an audience's emotions. Hell, it was pioneered by the Soviets in the 1920's and perfected by the Nazi's. He's taken his cues from the masters.

Beyond that, he's just a slob who made some money. He can't even write very well.

Moore should stick to comedy. He's hysterical. LOL

Of course we're laughing! The screenplay couldn't be written to be believed, featuring the antics you've all been up to in this campaign season.

It's not all laughs, serious issues at play, but at least we are capable of enjoying the humor in situations that arise. Keeps us sane.

Thanks for keeping us sane.
