I saw a short news piece yesterday and Rather was talking to Burkett and Burkett said to Dan's face "your people put a whole lot of pressure on me." That was all I got to hear.

Here comes another Swiftboat Vets ad, and the country will discover that Kerry (AWOL from reserve duties), was in Gay Paree, high fiving it with the Viet Cong. Kerry's response to this will be along the lines of "I was trying to get our P.O.W.'s out or at least find out how they were." In between claiming American vets had chopped up little babies, raped and pillaged Vietnam, morning noon and night?

(Not buying that, I think she's been dragged kicking and screaming. What does she need this for?) Self-interest? What's in it for her? (Maybe a high interest loan to be paid back with some tax advantage.) I dont see it.

He'll be bought off with some hush money if they have no other choice (e.g. if they cant kill him, ruin him, discredit him or sink him first) but my guess is the hush money from the DNC and/or money he'll get from his book royalties will trump anything that Theresa H-K is going to cough up.
