Hannity caller: Collusion in Dayton? (Vanity)
Hannity radio show ^ | September 21, 2004 | NonValueAdded

Call to Action: OHIO. A woman caller to the Sean Hannity radio show at approx 3:55 PM ET 9/21/04 posed a question concerning an upcoming concert in Dayton, Ohio. The gist of the call was that moveon.org or a similar 527 is putting on the show but when she called for info, she was told that the proceeds of the concert would go to the Democratic Party. She asked Sean if this was legal.

Who knows what is legal or illegal about 527's anymore, but I have to think this is definitely evidence of illegal collusion between 527's and the DNC. We need someone in Ohio to call and record this information before the cover-up starts!

I have heard good things about Medved. Unfortunately no stations in this area carry him. At least none that I know of.

Hannity probably does talk on a lot of the same points, however, that is what it takes to reach "the masses". Every campaign strategy I have ever read says that a candidate should pick 3 or 4 issues and just keep hammering away at those. People can't remember more than that, and if you give them much more they suffocate from information overload.

Hannity probably isn't the best one to speak to those who keep up with the news 24-7 (and don't believe most of what they hear and read . . . you know, FREEPERS!). However, I still think he's the perfect spokesperson to be out front with folks that are swing voters . . . you know, the people that win elections!

Hannity was loyal to Rush
Hannity was loyal to the Swiftees.
He has helped set up a fund for the families of our troops.
I think his late time show is getting better now that they aren't playing footsie with the opposition.

I haven't joined in with critisism about Hannity on large scale because I am grateful for the above.

That said, I've reached the point I can't listen to his radio show unless there is a guest I want to hear.

It all goes back to his book or how the press treats him. That's fine, when he's not in the middle of an interview. In the interview I don't want to hear about Hannity. I want to hear from the guest.

Two, he's become negative. I can understand the viewpoint that we should take nothing for granted. Unfortunately the other extreme isn't helpful either. Desperation does not help encourage people to believe we can win. He needs to lighten up a tad.

Lastly, he's spending too much time in WAshington. He's bought into the insider opinion G.W. isn't a good communicator (tell that to the crowds following G.W.). And he feels this need to constantly remark on what he disagrees with the President about. It's like he's on the defensive about why he is supporting the president when he should be on the offensive, proud this is his guy.

I enjoyed listening to Hannity last year, this year? Not so much.

I imagine it probably isn't legal, but heres the thing, laws don't pertain to the left. Nothing to see here..

What I would like to know is this.. How many people will end up going to these concerts...especially the Saddam Chicks.

I can't see them packing the house anymore, especially in Ohio, where W is ahead by what...EIGHT points?

Thanks for the effort ... maybe she was mistaken (or the person to which she spoke) but then again, maybe not. I hope there will be audits of these 527 organizations.

Sat, 2 Oct 2004  Vote for Change Concert Tour  Featuring: Dave Matthews Band EJ Nutter Center
Dayton, Ohio

I understand that this was renamed the Eat Sh*t and Die Tour.  It got mixed reviews in Chicago a few weeks ago.

I live in the home of Natalie Maines. She is not welcome here and her songs are not played on our radio staions. I sent all of their cd's I owned back to Sony. Last week I sent 18 others back to other record companies... told they why couldn't they just shut up and sing?
