Kerry Tops Bush In MTV Poll
NEW YORK, Sept. 21, 2004
Three in four young voters think this is one of the most, or the most, important election in their lifetime.
(CBS) Young voters prefer Democrat John Kerry to President Bush by a margin of 46 percent to 40 percent, according to an MTV Choose or Lose poll released Tuesday, although they do not feel overwhelmingly positive toward either candidate.
Choice For President (Registered voters)
18-29 Kerry/Edwards 46% Bush-Cheney 40% Nader-Camejo 4%
Only a six-point lead in a poll of the braindead idiots who watch MTV? Things're looking better for Bush then I thought! :)
Bush is getting 40% among the MTV crowd?! Amazing!!
You're right! I would have expected a 20 point lead.
I would discount this poll. I imagine that 3 out of 4 MTV watching Kerry supporters don't even know when the election is!
Mister Nader,Like what kind of underwear do you use? Boxers or briefs?
What do you think of Britney's new album and like stuff like
like DUDE who cares!!
MTV what a waste of noise!!
Bush is 6 points down in the "inexperienced and unemployed" demographic. Kerry is in BIG DO-DO!
This would matter if any of these Beavis and Butthead fans actually voted.
Like cool! Who's Bush?
Well, too bad their Rock the Vote effort is almost as likely to turn out as many Bush voters as Kerry voters. I bet that is disappointing.
This is great news for Bush, looks like the youth aren't falling for the MTV propaganda anymore.
You know it's that band that has that guy that married Gwen Stefani from No Doubt.
Huh-huh...huh-huh...you said "Bush"...huh-huh...
What's pathetic is the idiot would actually take these questions seriously!
I got Carey Bush's new album, man!
It's very important that W gets the chasing-gals-around-in-lingerie-with-a-chainsaw vote, like, don't ya think? Like?
KERRY'S FINGER
June 02, 2004
www.washingtontimes.com
"Democratic senator and certain presidential nominee John F. Kerry, gave the middle finger to a Vietnam veteran at the Vietnam Memorial Wall on Memorial Day morning," NewsMax.com reported yesterday.
"Ted Sampley, a former Green Beret who served two full tours in Vietnam, spotted Kerry and his Secret Service detail at about 9 a.m. Monday morning at the Wall. Sampley walked up to Kerry, extended his hand and said, 'Senator, I am Ted Sampley, the head of Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, and I am here to escort you away from the Wall because you do not belong here.'
"At that point, a Secret Service officer told Sampley to back away from Kerry. Sampley moved about 6 feet away and opened his jacket to reveal a HANOI JOHN T-shirt," NewsMax reported.
"Kerry then began talking to a group of schoolchildren. Sampley then showed the T-shirt to the children and said, 'Kerry does not belong at the Wall because he betrayed the brave soldiers who fought in Vietnam.'
"Just then, Kerry in front of the schoolchildren, other visitors and Secret Service agents brazenly 'flashed the bird' at Sampley and then yelled out to everyone, 'Sampley is a felon!'
"Kerry was referring to an incident 12 years ago when Sampley confronted Sen. John McCain's chief aide, Mark Salter, in a Senate stairwell after McCain repeatedly offended POW families at a Senate POW hearing. Sampley, whose father-in-law at that time was MIA in Laos, followed Salter into the stairwell and, when they emerged, Salter had a bloody lip and a broken nose."
It was my impression that most kids who watch MTV are 13-16 years old and just pretend they are 18-29... since they can't vote, the so-called poll is meaningless.... funny, but meaningless.
And just how many do they have to choose from? Three?
...Three in four young voters think this is one of the most, or the most, important election in their lifetime.
BINGO! In the last election 18-25 yr old voter turn out was right at 20% = 1:5
Is this "likely voters" or just "everyone"
This is not bad news.
The title should have included the word "barely".
That's good news. LOL
Bush doesn't need a majority of women, the youth vote, the minority vote. All he needs is an increase in those percentages to win overwhelmingly.
Half of mtv's fans are too young and the other half is too stoned/drunk/stupid to vote. Come Election Day most won't be able to find the correct polling place. Those who stumble upon it will find out too late that you have to REGISTER before you can cast the ballot.
Those who actually vote will be republicans.
This would be like Lenin only getting 46% of the vote in Russia in 1928. I wonder when Kerry will have another press conference on The Comedy Channel?
Almost half the munchkins aren't buying what their teachers, their musicians, their televisions and their unemployed older siblings are telling them.
That rocks!
This is great news! If Kerry had a chance in hell of winning, he'd need a WHOOOLLLEEEE lot more of the MTV crowd. A statistically insignificant lead won't cut it. I'm guessing he'd need over 60%. They should be his by block.
Uhhh, dude, like, don't diss Bevis and Butthead. That show totally doesn't suck. Uhh, like, yah. It's funny.
They had an opinion after someone told them an election was coming up and that the "other guy" was John Kerry.
Good numbers for Bush considering this is the crowd who watches 'Jackass' and considers ' Big Pimpin' their theme song....LOL!
Three out of four aren't old enough to vote anyway.
Grrr.
Stuff like this makes me question if "YOUTHS" are informed enough to be ALLOWED vote in the election.
Amazing considering they are telling the MTV generation that President Bush is going to reinstate the draft and they will be going to war.
Exactly, MTV is for high schoolers. In college, most don't have the time or access to cable to tune into MTV for any length of time.
Although I'm sadly way past college now, and I have a strange fascination with Jessica and Nick on Newlyweds on Saturday afternoon when I'm folding laundry or painting something!
Seasoned politicos. Most important election of their lives. Bet over half of them couldn't tell you who the vice-presidential candidates are.
I'm sure most of the idiots polled have the same IQ as Hannity's people on the street.
That's better than I thought it would be. Let's face it, MTV is a biased operation. I think this pol is good news for Bush.
Good point!
HAHAHHAHA yep I agree!!
What I'm curious about is whether MTV will still have that party of theirs when Bush wins. Remember how in 2000 they gave the lame excuse that they couldn't have it because it was "not enough time" (to prepare for it, due to the recount mess).
I'm surprised the number isn't higher...
kewl.
The Bush supporters are more likely to vote so it's a draw at least.
That is fantastic news!
Sounds like cross promotion. Viacom owns both MTV and CBS.
As well as crass promotion.
