"If the President ordered Delta Force to rescue American hostages, and the operation went to s**t...would you blame the President? Or the terrorists?"

When Carter sent Delta Force to rescue the American hostages in Iran, and the operation went to s**t, who did YOU blame?

MarMema,

Deliberately demeaning the truth is in fact evidence of moral decay.

Why is it that you all insult but will not address any actual point in the article?

It reminds me of the tactics used by the Clintons and the left; demonize the source, and ignore the issue.

Why is it that being critical of Putin is now considered to be anti-American?

When in the Hell has Russia, Bolshevik Russia, Communist Russia, or any Russia, ever been a friend of the US?

Having common enemies did not make us friends.

When did you become a communist apologist?

Good Question...but I doubt you will get an honest answer.

Bullsh%t.

Everyone blamed Carter, everyone still does.

The lack of honesty you've just displayed is truly below you.

However, I'll point out that you blamed Delta Force Commander, and not the terrorists. In my case, and lacking the name of the Russian commander in charge of the rescue operation at Beslan, I blame Putin just like we blamed Carter.

The nature of the criticism is that nothing has changed in Russia.

That Putin=Brezhnev.

If you believe that, you have taken leave of your senses.

No. We're not "friends" with Russia, but Russia and the US have common interests and a big foe: Muslim terrorism. Surely you see that.

Aren't you guys neglecting the fact that Chechen Islamic nuts have claimed responsibility for the Beslan massacre ?

Or are they part of the KGB conspiracy too ?

For blowing the op with some astonishingly bad command decisions.

However, for necessitating the op, I blame the terrorists.

This is dishonest, Luis. The hostages and hostage takers were miles away.

How many hostages died?

If soldiers had died preparing to liberate the hostages at the school, it would be ridiculous to blame Putin.

The reason Carter was blamed for the failed hostage rescue is that he was seen as incompetent, and this failed mission reinforced an image in the public's mind that was already there.

It's the KGB-infiltrated Islamic nuts who are taking responsibility. The actual Chechen Muslim terrorists went home for ice cream and to play with their puppies.

Is that why the KGB/Secret police butchers have never been held to account for their crimes (genocide) against Russia, the Republics, and all humanity?

Because they were not defeated in the war or revolution. They gave up their power without bloodshed and most of the crimes were committed several decades ago.

No it is not silly or nutty, it is a program of intentional Islamic propaganda. I've read plenty of it, it is all the same, just substitute the islamic "victem group" and their "oppressors". This is the exact same kinds of fantasies that are written about the US in Arab press, about Israel, Serbia, Makedonia, Greek Cypriots, Serbska Republic, Indians, Phillopinos, S. Sudanese, Ethiopians, etc. It is intentional apologetics for exterminations of non Muslims.

This propaganda is for the consumption among the Christians. Victim status is not respected outside of Christian religion. (With the exception of Shias maybe).

Deliberately demeaning the truth is in fact evidence of moral decay.

That is only if one is to take what you have put out as truth. As is evidenced by the over whelming majority here, it is not only not accepted as truth but seen somewhere on the level of schizophrenic fantasy.

When in the Hell has Russia, Bolshevik Russia, Communist Russia, or any Russia, ever been a friend of the US?

When the Tsar sent his fleets to NYC and San Fran harbors in 1861 as a direct threat to England and France not to enterfer in the War between the States. In the Boxer Rebelion, in WW1 and WW2 and in Afghanistan. When Putin came out on record that he gave evidence on Saddam's hanky panky to Bush and when he defended Bush's war on TV and reminded our left media of the Kosovo blunder.

How is that for starters?

Having a common enemy did not make the Soviets and the US friendly when facing the Nazis, it just meant that we shared an enemy. We were enemies before Hitler, and we were enemies after Hitler.

Putin has been making steady moves to roll back any democratic gains of the past ten years since taking office; now he's suspending elections and looking for a way to remain in office beyond what's constitutionally mandated, and without having to be re-elected; totalitarianism is the natural enemy of freedom, and by default, the enemy of America.

The Chechens have never been an enemy of the US, they've always been an enemy of Russia, and thus far, unless I've missed something, I've read about no acts of terrorism against the US, it's people, or its interests anywhere in the world committed by any Chechen.

They are Russia's enemy, not ours, in spite of the Kremlin's best efforts to paint a different picture.

Of course they did, it was all part of the KGB master plan, that was signed off by the Mason High Councle of the Unblincking Eye, the Uluminati masters...who everyone knows are ruled by yet that last of the high cosmic orders, the Elders of Zion and their Cabal of Cuthulu high priests. Either that or its little green men from Prime Ceti.

That's not only starters, that's the end.

How ridiculous is it that I'm dismissed about my fears of Russia's reverting to communism after a little more than a decade of democracy, because the Soviet Union died in 1991, then you turn around and put up something that happened 143 years ago as some ridiculous proof of the "friendship" between the US and Russia.

Right. So why are you complaining about how Putin deals with his own enemies? We didn't ask anybody's permission in dealing with the Taliban.

And, they ARE our enemy if Al-Qaeda has infiltrated Chechnya (it has).

Hardly enemies. FDR actually looked up to Stalin (not saying that that was good, it was not in any form), but you seem to have a binge for either over simplifying history or ignoring all the parts that do not fit into your tactic attack of the moment. You are very expedient with facts, evidence and truth, choosing just enough to give your arguments a veneer of saliency and credibility and only removing the rot from open view.

Whether you were self trained or not, it was a good job that was done. I will give you this, you have agility and as soon as one of your arguments is defeated you just move along down the list and when it is far enough down, you just restart the list.

You remind me of a brick yard preacher who used to come to our university. Man was certifiable, preached from a Bible, but it definitely wasn't Christian except in Veneer at best and did not allow the fact that his outfield interpretations were constantly sunk by students of faith, to stop him. You remind me a lot of him...entertaining, some times annoying but over all only dangerous to the uneducated and gullible.
