Ping!
why do we still give the UN over $300 million dollars a year? FAR MORE than ANY other country? IF we are going to be a part of the UN we should only give as much as say... France or Russia...
Isn't there some way we can just wait until they're all gathered and cut the UN building loose to drift out to sea?
(my comment would have been deleted by the mods)....
Id bet it is far more than $300 million a year.
Or we could just make the UN pay property taxes for the NYC headquarters.
And we should care about Zimbabwe because.....?? Can any of you figure out where their country lies on a map? Next.
That was a VERY conservative estimate, I know its more... I believe we give more to the UN than all other sercuity council members combined! At least 1/2 of the combined hell maybe all of them combined.. do some investigating if your interested :^D
That line, a play on a well-known saying of Islamic prayer, drew applause
So . . . uh . . I guess they do applaud speeches there. Must be they didn't agree with what the President had to say. Maybe they were even offended. Wonder if they can 'get BOOSH' on a 'speech codes' violation?
President Bush get a little polite applause, but a dictator that confiscates any land belonging to white people and oppresses any political opposition, gets a standing ovation.
The U.N. really does need to go the way of the League of Nations.
Do you think Mugabe is one of the world leaders supporting Kerry for president?
If the League of Nations was rounded up and locked away forever, then that is certinly the way to go. Otherwise, It isn't enough. The UN is a criminal enterprise and needs to be treated as such.
Disgraceful really that Mugabe is even allowed to speak at the UN given his record, but then this is the UN I suppose, what can you expect?
"The U.N. really does need to go the way of the League of Nations."
Given that the LoNs was replaced by the UN, I can't really agree.
Well, what can one expect from a bunch that puts Sudan on the committee charged with defending human rights? Having proved itself repeatedly to be a kleptocracy dominated by kleptocrats from all points on the globe, no wonder representatives of most of its constituent members enthusiastically applaud one of their own!
