Officials: Man Dead For 20 Years Registers To Vote

More Than 800 Voter Registration Cards Being Investigated

AKRON, Ohio -- The state of Ohio is stepping in to investigate possible voter fraud in Summit County. And the Lake County prosecutor is also looking into fraud there.

More than 800 voter registration cards in Summit County are under investigation, NewsChannel5 reported.

The Board of Elections said the voter registration cards in question are for addresses that don't exist, spelling mistakes or have similar handwriting.

Fifty of those questionable cards apparently came from the AFL-CIO central office in Cleveland, WEWS reported.

The AFL-CIO said it's registering thousands of union members this year, and had no knowledge of the faulty cards, which are filled out by volunteers.

AFL-CIO Executive Secretary John Ryan told NewsChannel5’s partner The Akron Beacon Journal that "it's not only a felony, but it's playing with democracy in a dangerous, horrible way."

Elections officials said the bogus cards were kicked out by the computer and forwarded to state investigators.

In the meantime in Lake County, elections officials said some voter advocacy groups are forging registration cards.

In one example, a man who's been dead for 20 years is apparently a new registered voter.

And in another case, it looks as if an entire neighborhood will be out of town on Election Day. Everyone there applied for absentee ballots.

This fraud comes on the heels of a report NewsChannel5 did just Wednesday on identity theft and voter registration. (Read Report)

Never give out your full social security number if asked. Elections officials only require the last four digits for verification.

I think some fraud happened in Ohio in 2000, esp. in the Youngstown, Akron, and Toledo areas. However W won by 4 so the point was moot.

We can't let the Dems steal this election, and it looks like there is something actually being done about it!

I don't see what the big deal is - he's buried in the district where he registered to vote...

Did they also report that the same 50 wanted to enroll as Democrats?

This goes hand-in-hand with the recent report of Alzheimer's disease nursing home patients being taken to the polls by their spouse and the spouse gets to vote "for them", essentially voting twice.

What would be fun, is not to announce it, but wait for the union phoney to show up to vote under the illegal name and arrest his ass.

It is scary to think boau the potential for massive absentee ballot fraud. If somebody can get hold of lists with Social Security numbers, they can simply forge the ballot applications and then steal the ballots out of the mailboxes while the voters are at work. Easy as pie.

I would love to someday see the actual valid-vote tallies for the last several elections, for a side-by-side comparison with the fraud-inclusive results. Do they have that stat-book in Heaven's library?

Well in LBJ's 1960 Texas they not only registered to vote but then showed up at the polling place and voted in alphabetic order, no less. Remarkably, it wasn't voter fraud back then. I am sure this long-deceased OH guy just got out of line or something.

If Kerry's poll numbers dip any lower, the DNC will no longer be able to take the decreased vote for granted.

Uh huh. Sure. They had no idea.
I hope other states are working just as hard to check for voter fraud. I can imagine how long the democrats have gotten away with this stuff.
Florida had to clean out felon votes. NY/Florida found thousands of mutable voters, and this is the second time a left wing union has been busted for vote fraud. Then, of course, there's the hanging and dimpled chads from trying to punch through too many ballots at once.

Deceased Americans are an important Democratic voting bloc. Without them Lyndon Johnson wouldn't have won the Democratic primary in the 1948 Senate race in Texas, and JFK wouldn't have won the electoral votes of Illinois and Texas in 1960, and we would have had to endure Richard Nixon as President.

Just think of it...no charisma in the White House, no bungled Bay of Pigs invasion, perhaps no Berlin Wall (and certainly no "I am a jelly doughnut" speech in Berlin), no Cuban missile crisis, no Vietnam War.

So what. I suspect most democrats are legally brain dead anyway.

After all just because a person is an illegal alien, in prison, or dead doesn't mean they don't have rights.

It's only the unborn that doesn't have rights . Everybody knows that.

Dead people are very orderly. They do every thing in either alphabetical or chronological order. They also sit very quietly until it is their turn to vote.

Humourous, but a real problem.

As a volunteer at a nursing home, I took an 82-year old man to go vote. He had the right to vote but - he couldn't drive, couldn't write, couldn't remember his phone number or address, and watched CNN all day.

I barely could stand it.

The important point about this is that the institution where he lived had a group come in and register all of the residents, and get out their vote. I imagine this happens elsewhere. I shudder to think what else they told them after I went home.

Akron used to be the rubber capital of the world. Goodyear, Goodrich, Firestone, etc...made all their tires there.

But the labor unions became so strong that they ran all of the tire manufacturers out of Ohio. There hasn't been a single tire made in Akron in 20 years.

Keep it coming you Dems! One piece of information doesn't change the world. But one snowball followed by another, followed by another... and soon you have a critical mass, an avalanche, sweeping away your entire pathetic attempt to steal an election, or defraud the American people.

Speaking of the Avalanche...when's hockey coming back? I'm in denial right now.

But the labor unions became so strong that they ran all of the tire manufacturers out of Ohio.

I have relatives near an old A&P food plant that went out of business due to the unions demanding too much. Now, the union members have no job at all.
From what I understand, Corning Inc. told the AFL-CIO union to back off or they were pulling out. The Glass works won. The unions wages were cut in half. I heard they were getting $13 per hour for just sweeping floors. Anything higher than that got twice as much.
