Networks Praise Kerry(Kerry gets best coverage of any candidate in last 25 yrs)
CMPA ^

The broadcast TV networks and weekly news magazines favor John Kerry over George W. Bush, according to a new study released by the Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA). But the study also finds that Fox News Channel was far more negative towards Kerry than Bush. Evaluations of John Kerry were positive by a two-to-one margin, while evaluations of George W. Bush were over 60 percent negative

• Among non-partisan sources, Kerry's evaluations were almost three-to-one positive; Bush's were over two-to-one negative.

• Among the networks, the gap between the candidates was largest on NBC; the coverage was most balanced on ABC.

• Kerry's proportion of good press declined in August, but he still fared far better than Bush until the GOP convention.

• Bush got better than Kerry only during the GOP convention, which also was the only time he received a majority of positive evaluations.

• Based on CMPA's previous studies of primary and general election coverage, Kerry has gotten the best press on network news of any presidential nominee since we began tracking election news in 1988.

Did I just see what I thought I saw? Kerry padding an adult black male on the head? It was a little while ago on CNN. Imagine Bush doing anything like that.

This is good because when he loses, big-time, it will prove that the liberal media is impotent.

No amount of viagra can ever restore the mainstream media.

Some non sequitors have to be rolled on the tongue like fine wine to be truly appreciated. "Non-partisan sources"? Really?

we only get the euro trash CNN International over here.

they frikin used the Democrap Congeelment errrr Convention to promote the Republican convention. LITERALLY!!!

It was on constantly. You had lurch giving his stupid reporting for duty speech every commercial break, and then at the end, you had a graphic saying the Republican National Convention started on whatever day it was in August. Amazing....

Kerry's mug is always on TV: CNN, CSPAN, etc. during prime time. And unchallenged. It makes me ill except with Kerry, the more people see / hear him for themselves, the less likeable he becomes.

Kerry's the worst candidate in 25 years, perhaps ever, and yet he gets the best coverage in 25 years. You know what this means? It means that the journalism profession has reached rock bottom.
