[HUGE POSSIBLE SCANDAL] 1,000 cases of suspicious voter registrations
Cleveland Plain Dealer ^ | 9/24/2004 | Steve Luttner and Michael Scott

Posted on 09/24/2004 7:25:29 AM PDT by amordei

More than 1,000 voter registration forms and absentee ballot requests may be fraudulent in Lake and Summit counties, where investigations of irregularities are broadening.

Lake County Sheriff Daniel Dunlap said Thursday that he will investigate an attempt to register a dead person and other possibly fraudulent documents that were submitted to the Lake County Board of Elections. Advertisement

Dunlap also said he has notified the FBI and the Ohio secretary of state.

"We want to make sure the election here in Lake County is the best possible," Dunlap said. "I don't know if this was a concerted effort or if it was just an overzealous, independent person here and there who decided to push the envelope."

Elections officials have said hundreds of absentee ballot applications and dozens of voter registration cards are in question. Lake County Prosecutor Charles Coulson, also involved in the probe, said the problems are more significant than originally thought.

"We've seen voter fraud before, but never on this level," Coulson said Thursday. "I grew up in Chicago and this looks like the politics of Mayor Daley in the '50s and '60s."

Lake election and law enforcement officials said their investigation is centered on absentee registration attempts by the nonpartisan NAACP's National Voter Fund and an anti-Bush, nonprofit group called Americans Coming Together, or ACT Ohio.

The National Voter Fund could not be reached Wednesday or Thursday at its Washington, D.C., offices.

A spokesman for ACT Ohio, however, said the group believed the allegations would prove groundless.

Several registration applications submitted by campaign volunteers for a candidate are also being scrutinized, Lake elections board Director Jan Clair said.

None of the officials would identify the candidate, however.

THIS IS A MUST READ. If ACT and the NAACP go down for this, there will be no organization capable of committing the kind of electoral fraud necessary to hand Kerry this election.

Send this story to friends, blogs, whatever. The only fear I have at this point is that they will steal this election.

ACT has employed seriuous criminal offenders to gather personal data. They have no shame.

You can tell it's about Democrat vote fraud when you have to read deep into the article to see "who done it" . . . if it was Republicans or conservatives, the headline would scream it . . .

At least the prosecutor is looking.

In South Dakota, he didn't even want to look at voter registration fraud!

I could not understand why the obvious voter fraud that has been going on at a national level now for years has not been taken more seriously by the executive. Constituting as it does the single largest threat to the future of the republic, right behind unsecure borders.

Maybe this is it - the AG is finally doing something about it.

You can add this to the incedent in summit county where they found a man dead for 20 years recently registered to vote. The AFL_CIO is involved in that one.

Elections officials have said hundreds of absentee ballot applications and dozens of voter registration cards are in question.............

How 'bout that? If ACT and the NTL Voter group aren't charged under exisiting vote fraud and election laws, authorities need to charge them with filing forged documents.............. There's a lot of that going on lately.

"Lake election and law enforcement officials said their investigation is centered on absentee registration attempts by the nonpartisan NAACP's National Voter Fund and an anti-Bush, nonprofit group called Americans Coming Together, or ACT Ohio."

After GW defeats Kerry, our new congress needs to pass a bill which makes voter fraud an act of treason. Then another law which makes it illegal for any non profit to contribute to an election or work for an election like the NAACP. If a non profit is caught donating money or doing stuff like this, the non profit is immediately dissolve and the execs can be charged violation of federal laws.

MoveOn.org is/was running a drive a few weeks ago to get Americans living abroad registered for the election.

I will assume that MoveOn.org is not focused on ensuring our military overseas is registered for voting.

Also, anyone who has recently registered to vote outside some store in a mall might want to check with the Voter Registrar in their voting district.

An old scam out here in California was to throw away all republicans who registered.

Then in 1996 they got smart and signed these people up for absentee ballots. Then they drove around, followed the mailmen, and picked up the absentee ballots on mail delivery day. Sometimes the absentee ballot got to the right person, and they would throw it away because they thought it was junk mail. Then when they tried to vote, they were told they couldn't because they were sent an absentee ballot.

Well, that pretty much sews up Ohio for Bush. Once the voters in that state get wind of this, it's over for the Dimwits. Florida is Kerry's last & bast hope, and the futures markets say it's 68 percent probable for Bush at this point.

It is different groups in different states who are responsible for the fraud that is about to be perpetrated in this election. Talk radio in W. Pa. has been reporting on the situation and it is not these groups involved. There is always fraud in the big cities that the RATS do in every election - Philadelphia 2000 - something like 110% of voters in some precincts vote. This time they are going for any counties controlled by Democrats that are suburban and rural too. We're going to have more votes than people, farm animals and pets in PA to insure that Kerry wins here.

We need an organized ping list for this group with notes for their areas of expertise to write on.

Ah! the rats are really sweating in Ohio. Bob Taft may be lousy, but at least we don't have a rat administration to actually abet these crimes in the mistake by the lake. Monday in suburban Cincinnati, Bush is aiming for 50,000 supporters at a campaign stop, I plan to bring a half dozen, should be great fun.

The tip of the iceberg has been uncovered.
Vote fraud will only worsen until perpetrators serve real jail time in real jails. And that won't happen anytime soon. Meanwhile, most elections will be won by the party who cheats the best and the most.
