LONDON The beheadings of two Americans in Iraq this week have been treated as unwelcome developments in the Arab press, but the concern has been more for the image of Muslims than for the victims. Most organizations continued to cast the outrage as a small part of a wider conflict in which the United States is seen as the prime culprit. "There has been little sign of the outrage that greeted the kidnapping of two French hostages last month and none of the soul-searching prompted by the ... siege" at a school in Beslan, Russia, said Sebastian Usher, who monitors the Arab media for the British Broadcasting Corp

Muslim outrage over killings found lackingThis shouldn't shock anyone. They would be rejoicing if they weren't afraid of the backlash

The Canadian journalist that just escaped from Muslim captivity and torture reported on TV today that the Iraqi Police freely allowed the Muslim Terrorists to move about the towns. Better clean up their act. They appear to like Terrorism.
Who likes terrorism more ? Iraqis or Saudis ?
Talking out of the side of one's face and doing another seems to be totally acceptable - only the image that counts.
I've seen virtually no Muslims show outrage over 9/11 or take a leadership position against terrorism within the US either.

concern has been more for the image of Muslims than for the victims Rightly so. Their image is suffering grievously. They ought to take care of their problem, but that would require a moral sense.

The beheadings of two Americans in Iraq this week have been treated as unwelcome developments in the Arab pressBut not so unwelcome as to prompt any prominent muslim cleric to declare a Fatwah on the sadistic lunatics who are causing Islam to suffer all this bad press.

Please visit our website at www.cair-net.org to see our numerous lists of condemnations against terrorism I've seen enough of their "numerous condemnations" to vomit buckets. They always include these disclaimers:
"DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON US!!!"
"THE JOOOZ AND THE AMREEKANS MADE US DO IT!!!"

Kofi Annan is still pondering whether or not these beheadings may be illegal.

If you can stomach it ...here is interview with journalist Scott Taylor on antiwar.com. This guy was released when and only when it was evident he was anti-American and had written about the horrors the US had committed in Iraq. In other words he is one of those who are validating these terrorist thugs in the media here.

Now, I'm thinking. The average Iraqi is a decent and just man. There are the f'ed up ones for sure and they need to be exploded. However...
I was wondering. Are there any Muslim scholars around? Why I ask is would there be the equivalent of an "ex-communication" that could be handed down? By a cleric of some standing?
I mean, to challenge this Zacharri-guys bonafides as a Muslim could do amazing things I would think.
Perhaps an individual, in the bottom third he swims with, would drop a dime on him if he was seen to be doing immoral work. I have seen over time, Christianity as "fungible". So too, must Islam to some degree. There are different interpretations and emphasis. Clearly, in a world without the criminal Saddam, brutally murdering a civilian who was helping Iraq and had scores of Iraqi friends that could and would vouch for them, could be interpreted as anti-Muslim.
Perhaps a little work on the psy-ops side could yield big results.
