I've tried to stay passive in this campaign, but someone noticed the sign on my door and office - that is about to appear on shirts and bumper stickers (my daughter is making them) - and suggested that I do the following, which my son sent out this morning in my behalf (I'm buried!). The sign?
ANYONE BUT KERRY
I truly believe it will help the fence-sitters, who without doubt will decide this election. My idea permits them to take a position that is today not really on the table. Those who are uncomfortable with the war or other issues that Kerry gleefully attributes to Bush, will nevertheless find it within themselves to vote against Kerry. This three-word "slogan" is anti-Bush, but it will be devastating to Kerry.
It's useful only if the Republicans do it FIRST AND MASSIVELY. If you reflect on the message, perhaps you'll understand how it "works" (unfortunately, for either side!) - and will take it to your local committee... and hopefully beyond. The key issue is that it must be massive or the other side will jump on it and the first one will look like a copycat.
The reason I hedged on disclosure to the local committee is obvious.
Bunch of flakes, but it's the only entry channel I have! Can you help with this at the national level?

I'm (name withheld) - neither "Republican" nor "Democrat", so presumably am near the center of your campaign bullseye in CA and in so called 'battleground' states. Because of my military history, I have access to personal observations and opinions that are not available to the general public. Even more important, my experience establishes a useful context within which that information can be evaluated. As a result of these and other matters, I have become partisan in the presidential election.
I have not been actively pro-Bush, and regret that your party did not give its constituency, and our country, a better candidate. However, I so strongly oppose a Kerry presidency that you have my support.
A matter has arisen that may significantly benefit your campaign and efforts, and I'd be pleased to contribute it - but only personally because it requires some explanation. I am not offering memoranda from Kerry's history or other torpedoes; rather, it's something at a different level that will have a profound effect upon battlefield states voters. My contribution is very specifically aimed at that component of the voter body that is undecided. Testing the information on those around me leads me to believe that it can have a major effect nationally, so I believe this is something you will wish to pass on quickly.
I am particularly concerned that this be in the hands of your party before it is employed by the Democrats. THIS IS CRITICAL!!!
You are surely saturated at this point in the campaign, but I believe the matter is worth the effort/time - and the geography makes it easy.

What bothers me more than even the obvious attempt by BOTH parties to block anyone but themselves from the election process and thereby denying Americans the freedom and rights detailed ion the Constitution for fair and open representation, are these word this person stated:

WHY do I hear this (and agree!) from Americans from across this country?
Neither the RNC nor the DNC represent the majority of America - they care only for their own power. We just have the dubious honor of selecting which side will do us the least harm and money.
I'm reflecting, and I don't understand. Maybe if I wasn't 100-percent certain that I'm supporting Bush.
While I would like a candidate who is more conservative, and more for smaller government, President Bush is my man.
Sorry, but I don't get it either. Something like 85% of the Republican electorate is strongly behind Bush, while only 15% of of the Democrat electorate strongly backs Kerry. As much as we intensely dislike Kerry and everything he stands for, we have a strong candidate in Bush who deserves our support.

I don't entirely agree with you on that. Despite the fact that I am far from lockstep with everything that President Bush proposes and does as President, I know for a fact that he is the very best for America and the world, among our choices.
Bush and I are in Synce on everything that is most important to me. Everything that I am in disagreement with the President on, I would be ten times more so under anyone else who is running.
No human being is indispensible, but for this time and this crisis, our President is as close to indispensible as one human has ever been.

I was refering more to the RNC/DNC (the party powers) more so than the individuals. just as kennedy is NOT a true democrat - he cares only for himself and his own power and fortune, so are the xNC's.
Bush is OK - he lacks the strength of Reagan and fears the powers of the senate (or he agrees with their sentiments). Reagan would have by now HEARD the call of the people and shut the borders down already and would never have been playing games with the lives of the US MARINES!
You call on the MARINES to close in and DESTROY the enemy - you don't tell them to sit back and play nice with those who would KILL US. To do otherwise is STUPID!

Do you remember when Reagan was president and we had a "little" incident in Beirut with our marines, like losing close to 400 of them? What did Reagan do....???? he withdrew.
Now don't get me wrong. I LOVE Reagan. He's one of our very best. He had a DemocRAT House and Senate most of his 8 years and had to govern by "concensus."
I understand where you're coming from, but this time around, we have no choice but the RNC and President Bush, OR we are doomed.
