Time For An Intervention (Laura Ingraham Alert!)
PABAAH.com ^ | 9/28/04 | Jon Alvarez

For those of you who are fans of radio talk show host Laura Ingraham, you will remember how she called for an intervention on the behalf of Bill O'Reilly a couple of weeks ago due to his failure to take a tougher stance on CBS and their forged documents scandal.

Well, it would appear that we need to hold our own intervention on behalf of Laura! Yesterday she took Bruce Springsteen to task for his efforts to demand the ouster of President Bush via his "Vote For Change" Tour, yet she would not describe him as "anti-American". Well, we would disagree...Here's why:

1. While it would be his political right as a celeb to rock the vote for his candidate of choice, John Kerry, the Boss and his comrades are not doing that. Rather, they are taking the stance that "Anybody But Bush" would be an acceptable choice for voters. This is an irresponsible abuse of their celebrity status and contributes to the lack of respect for America and President Bush around the globe.

2. He continues to maintain that President Bush "misled" America. It is this kind of untruthful, left-wing rhetoric that emboldens the terrorist monsters. These IslamoFascists hope we will withdraw from Iraq if they cut off a few more American heads. Like in Vietnam, leftists like Springsteen are doing all they can to see that we lose this war.

3. We are at WAR! Imagine concerts during the 40's, denouncing FDR and our nation's efforts vs the Nazis and the Japanese. While that would have been unheard of back then, why is it socially acceptable now? It's not.

Simply put, Bruce Springsteen is taking a stance against America and American efforts to protect herself. Bruce Springsteen is anti-American and no longer deserves our money.

Contact the show via phone (it really is very simple to get thru, compared to Rush and Hannity) or simply send her an email. Tell her that the members of PABAAH are holding an intervention because we feel she needs to get tougher with Springsteen (just as she felt O'Reilly needed to get tougher with CBS and Dan Blather).

To reach the show, call 1-800-876-4123

or email Laura at: suggestions@lauraingraham.com

Be sure to put "Intervention" in the subject line of your email! Let's have some fun with Laura, we love her book and her show!

My Letter to Laura (feel free to copy and paste):

Our Dearest Laura:

We feel that we need to hold an intervention on your behalf! Recently you called for one for Bill O'Reilly, taking him to task for his soft stance vs CBS and Dan Blather. Well, we feel that you are being way too easy on Bruce Springsteen and his efforts to bring down the Bush Presidency. You failed to call Bruce "anti-American", our group feel that he and his musical comrades are just that, anti-American.

Here's why:

Please, get tougher with Springsteen! We love you and your show Laura!!

Having listened to Laura for quite a while, I know she is a big Boss fan so probably could not bring herself to denounce him unreservedly. Further, I'll bet she addresses the e-mails she is going to get flooded with on this subject. I for one will let her slide, although I have tossed my Springsteen CDs!

me too! Was going to go to Cleveland this weekend to denounce him outside Gund Arena, but we have a voter registration drive this weekend...I hear some freepers and protest warriors are going to be there and at the Dixie Twits concert as well.

I listened for a while and she let callers on to criticize Springsteen only to disagree with them every time.

She may be a bright gal but I get the feeling that she was a beneficiary of the equal rights laws that allowed lesser qualified women and minorities into graduate schools.

She enjoys tweaking the news cycle and bring out things that make people look bad. Since most of the time she is doing this to rats, that's fine but she's no big hero.

She probably loves Springsteens' song "Born in the USA."

I remember when Ronald Reagan and the Republicans hijacked it for their election theme song. Bruce was so mad.

Maybe she thinks Bruce was once a Republican and can be converted with a little persuasion. The truth is he was furious at the Republicans for using his song and usurping its message. Funny stuff back then.

She jumps on and off McCain on a regular basis. This week she's praising him.

That she would even consider McCain as a decent person tells me all I need to know about her.

you might be right...calling patriots rodents is not very nice...

Dear Laura,

I love you. Stop with the support to the Boss. By the way, did I mention I love you. You are hot, too. Do I have on chance in a billion with you? Love, a fan.

Her show gets so inane I cringe. AT the beginning of yesterday's show she was babbling on and on about hair spray or something.

The radio is on in the background here so I simply turn the radio to CD and listen to some great music.
